The Milwaukee Bucks and the Toronto Raptors duke it out at the Scotiabank Arena on Tuesday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been in great form as they’ve won 17 of their last 19 games and they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after escaping Washington with a 137-134 overtime road win on Monday. Khris Middleton led the team with 40 points and five assists on 15 of 28 shooting, Eric Bledsoe added 23 points with 10 assists while Giannis Antetokounmpo chipped in with 22 points and 14 rebounds. As a team, the Bucks shot a sizzling 57 percent from the field and 17 of 37 from the 3-point line as they looked to be cruising after leading by as many as 20 points, before the Wizards rallied to force overtime behind a career-high 55 points from Bradley Beal. Fortunately, the Bucks regrouped in overtime and were good enough to escape with the win behind a clutch 3-pointer from Middleton with 31 seconds remaining.
Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors have been in great shape as they’ve reeled in 17 wins in their last 18 games and they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the Pacers in a 127-81 home win on Sunday. Pascal Siakam led the team with 21 points on eight of 12 shooting, Kyle Lowry added 16 points with seven rebounds, 11 assists and five steals while Serge Ibaka chipped in with 15 points and 15 rebounds. AS a team, the Raptors shot 51 percent from the field and 17 of 44 from the 3-point line as they set up the win in the first quarter where they outscored the Pacers by 34-12 before taking a 31-point lead going into halftime.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 5-0 ATS in their last five games playing on zero days rest, 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games and 7-1 ATS in their last eight games overall. The Raptors are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record, 7-2 ATS in their last nine home games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games as an underdog.
Head to head, the Bucks are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall.
The Bucks have been the benchmark of the league all season and they’re coming into this one with plenty of momentum after outlasting the Wizards in last night’s overtime win. The Raptors have been absolutely on a tear lately and they will be full of confidence after destroying the Pacers on Sunday. This should be a close one, but with the Bucks playing this one on the road with zero days’ rest, I’m leaning towards the Raptors who represent decent value as the home underdog in this one.
