The Milwaukee Bucks pay a visit to the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center on Tuesday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been in a real groove lately as they've won 10 of their past 11 games and they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the Suns in a 129-108 home win on Sunday afternoon. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 30 points, 19 rebounds and nine assists, Khris Middleton added 25 points with eight rebounds and six assists while Brook Lopez chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Bucks shot 49 percent from the field and 15 of 38 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 67 points in the first half, before cruising in the second half where they led by as many as 23 points. Defensively, the Bucks did a great job of limiting Kelly Oubre Jr. to just 15 points on five of 20 shooting while holding DeAndre Ayton to just 10 of 27 shooting.
Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans were riding a three-game win streak before getting stopped by the Rockets in a 117-109 road loss on Sunday. Brandon Ingram led the team with 28 points, 12 rebounds and three assists, Zion Williamson added 21 points with 10 rebounds, Josh Hart added 16 points off the bench while Lonzo Ball racked up 10 points with 10 rebounds and nine assists. As a team, the Pelicans shot 44 percent from the field and 10 of 33 from the 3-point line as they played well to take the lead after three quarters, but they managed just 16 points in the fourth quarter as the Rockets took over behind 40 points from James Harden.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a losing record, 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a win of more than 10 points and 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games against a team with a losing home record. The Pelicans are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a winning record, 8-2 ATS in their last 10 home games 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 games overall.
Head to head, the over is 21-8 in the last 29 meetings overall and the over is 4-0 in the last four meetings in New Orleans.
The Bucks have been the benchmark of the league all season and they're coming into this one with plenty of confidence after making light work of the Suns in their last outing. The Pelicans were on a nice run themselves before just short against the Rockets, so I'm looking forward to a close contest Williamson facing Antetokounmpo for the first time. The Pelicans are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 home games and I think that trend continues here as this one goes down to the wire.
