The Miami Heat and Boston Celtics meet Sunday in game six of the Eastern Conference Finals NBA playoffs at the AdventHealth Arena.
The Miami Heat will advance to their first NBA Finals since 2013-14 with a victory here. The Miami Heat are averaging 111.3 points on 45.2 percent shooting and allowing 106.8 points on 45.4 percent shooting. Goran Dragic is averaging 21.4 points and 4.5 assists while Jimmy Butler is averaging 20.6 points and six rebounds. Bam Adebayo is the third double-digit scorer and Tyler Herro is dishing 3.7 assists. The Miami Heat are shooting 35.1 percent from beyond the arc and 82 percent from the free throw line. The Miami Heat are allowing 34.7 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 43.1 rebounds per game.
The Boston Celtics need a victory here to save their season and force a game seven. The Boston Celtics are averaging 109.1 points on 45.6 percent shooting and allowing 102.7 points on 41.3 percent shooting. Jayson Tatum is averaging 25.8 points and 10.2 rebounds while Jaylen Brown is averaging 21.5 points and 2.2 assists. Kemba Walker is the third double-digit scorer and Marcus Smart is grabbing 5.1 rebounds. The Boston Celtics are shooting 34.2 percent from beyond the arc and 81.6 percent from the free throw line. The Boston Celtics are allowing 31.1 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 45.4 rebounds per game.
The Celtics are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 Conference Finals games, 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 Sunday games and 24-9-1 ATS in their last 34 playoff games as a favorite. The Heat are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games playing on 1 days rest, 25-8 ATS in their last 33 games following a straight up loss and 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games overall. The over is 4-1 in Celtics last 5 overall. The over is 4-1 in Heat last 5 overall. The Celtics are 11-5 ATS in the last 16 meetings in Miami. The over is 4-1-1 in the last 6 meetings.
The Boston Celtics are coming off their best half of the series in a game five victory and they have to feel a bit of a momentum shift. However, the Heat are still the deeper team in this series and the Celtics have to play on just one days rest after playing their starters into the ground Friday night. The Heat also have yet to lose back to back games in these playoffs, and they're getting wide open looks from deep. The Heat were arguably the best three-point shooting team in the league this season, and I don't expect them to continue to miss so many outside shots. As we've done all playoffs, give me the Heat in the underdog role.
