The Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers meet Sunday in game six of NBA playoff action at the AdventHealth Arena.
The Los Angeles Clippers have a chance to make their first ever conference finals appearance with a victory here. The Los Angeles Clippers are averaging 117.7 points on 48.8 percent shooting and allowing 110.2 points on 46.1 percent shooting. Kawhi Leonard is averaging 29.8 points and 9.7 rebounds while Paul George is averaging 20 points and four assists. Lou Williams is the third double-digit scorer and Marcus Morris is grabbing 4.9 rebounds. The Los Angeles Clippers are shooting 37.8 percent from beyond the arc and 79.2 percent from the free throw line. The Los Angeles Clippers are allowing 35.2 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 45.3 rebounds per game.
The Denver Nuggets need a victory here to save their season and force a game seven on Tuesday. The Denver Nuggets are averaging 106.7 points on 45.8 percent shooting and allowing 110.8 points on 48 percent shooting. Jamal Murray is averaging 26.5 points and 6.6 assists while Nikola Jokic is averaging 25.4 points and 9.6 rebounds. Michael Porter Jr. is the third double-digit scorer and Jerami Grant is grabbing 3.3 rebounds. The Denver Nuggets are shooting 38.9 percent from beyond the arc and 81.8 percent from the free throw line. The Denver Nuggets are allowing 39.2 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 41.4 rebounds per game.
The Clippers are 13-6 ATS in their last 19 games playing on 1 days rest and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Sunday games. The Nuggets are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games as an underdog and 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 games overall. The under is 4-0-2 in Clippers last 6 overall. The under is 4-0-2 in Nuggets last 6 overall. The Clippers are 5-11 ATS in the last 16 meetings in Denver. The under is 40-18-2 in the last 60 meetings.
I mentioned in my game five write up that the Nuggets had a chance to get back in this series if they just played with more effort defensively, and they were able to steal another game by holding the Clippers to 42 percent shooting. The Nuggets are allowing an average of 100.5 points in their last two games. As long as those numbers continue, the Nuggets are going to have a chance to win because the offensive firepower is there. You have to think the Clippers close this out due to the veteran leadership on the squad, but the Nuggets are again a live dog. Give me the points.
