The Portland Trail Blazers need a win here to save their season and force a game six on Monday. The Portland Trail Blazers are averaging 102.8 points on 41.4 percent shooting and allowing 113.8 points on 46.9 percent shooting. Damian Lillard is averaging 24.3 points and 4.3 assists while CJ McCollum is averaging 20 points and 5.8 rebounds. The Portland Trail Blazers are shooting 35.7 percent from beyond the arc and 78.8 percent from the free throw line. The Portland Trail Blazers are allowing 33.1 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 42.8 rebounds per game.
The Trail Blazers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Lakers are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 playoff games as a favorite and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games overall. The over is 26-11 in Trail Blazers last 37 overall. The Trail Blazers are 20-8 ATS in the last 28 meetings in Los Angeles and 2-8 ATS in the last 10 meetings.
The break and everything the players have been dealing with emotionally does throw a bit of a monkey wrench into things, as you don't know where guys heads are at and how they're going to perform, but on paper the Lakers should cruise in this contest. The Portland Trail Blazers have had issues scoring in this series with Lillard on the floor, and he's left the bubble due to a knee injury. Without Lillard, the Trail Blazers are extremely limited when it comes to guys who can create their own shot. McCollum can only do so much.
I don't love big chalk like this at all, but it's the Los Angeles Lakers in a beatdown or pass for me.
