The Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Clippers meet Friday in game three of NBA playoff action at the AdventHealth Arena.
The Dallas Mavericks look for another victory to take a surprising 2-1 series lead. The Dallas Mavericks are averaging 118.5 points on 47.9 percent shooting and allowing 116 points on 45.8 percent shooting. Luka Doncic is averaging 35 points and eight assists while Kristaps Porzingis is averaging 18.5 points and 6.5 rebounds. Tim Hardaway Jr. is the third double-digit scorer and Seth Curry is grabbing three rebounds. The Dallas Mavericks are shooting 38.9 percent from beyond the arc and 77 percent from the free throw line. The Dallas Mavericks are allowing 31.9 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 45 rebounds per game.
The Los Angeles Clippers look for a bounce back showing to take a 2-1 series lead. The Los Angeles Clippers are averaging 116 points on 45.8 percent shooting and allowing 118.5 points on 47.9 percent shooting. Kawhi Leonard is averaging 32 points and 11 rebounds while Paul George is averaging 20.5 points and 2.5 assists. Lou Williams is the third double-digit scorer and Marcus Morris is grabbing seven rebounds. The Los Angeles Clippers are shooting 31.9 percent from beyond the arc and 76.3 percent from the free throw line. The Los Angeles Clippers are allowing 38.9 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 46 rebounds per game.
The Clippers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Friday games, 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games as a favorite and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Mavericks are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog, 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games playing on 1 days rest and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The over is 6-2 in Clippers last 8 overall. The over is 5-2 in Mavericks last 7 overall. The Clippers are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings.
The Los Angeles Clippers are capable of playing much better than what they've shown in this series, mainly on the defensive end. With that said, the Mavs look way too comfortable on the offensive end and Doncic is getting whatever he wants whether he's shooting or setting guys up. You could also make an argument that the Mavericks would be up 2-0 in this series if Porzingis didn't get ejected in game one, as Dallas hung around until the end without him. I went into this series thinking the Clippers should take care of business in five, but now I'm thinking the Mavs can put a scare one of the title favorites. The Dallas Mavericks don't look scared of the moment.
Give me the points.
