The Toronto Raptors and the Milwaukee Bucks collide at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Monday night.
The Toronto Raptors have been in great form as they’ve won four of their five games in the bubble and they will be looking to stay hot after last night’s 108-99 win over the young Grizzlies. Pascal Siakam led the team with 26 points on nine of 16 shooting, Norman Powell added 16 points and four assists off the bench, Kyle Lowry scored 15 points with eight assists while Fred VanVleet chipped in with 14 points and five assists. As a team, the Raptors shot 47 percent from the field and 15 of 39 from the 3-point line as they took control of the game with 40 points in the second quarter, before holding the Grizzlies to just 17 points in the third quarter to lead by as many as 18 points before holding off a late rally.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks haven’t been quite at their best lately as they’ve lost three of their five games in the bubble and they will be hoping to bounce back after falling short to the Mavericks in a 136-132 overtime loss on Saturday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 34 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks, Brook Lopez added 34 points with seven rebounds and two blocks, Khris Middleton scored 21 points with 11 assists while Eric Bledsoe chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Bucks shot 47 percent from the field and 15 of 44 from the 3-point line as they held the Bucks to just 20 points in the third quarter to overcome an 11-point deficit, before going on a 9-0 run to open the overtime period to steal the game.
Head to head, the under is 4-0 in the last four meetings and the under is 9-4 in the last 13 meetings in Milwaukee.
The Raptors were one of the hottest teams in the league before the season suspension and they’ve continued their form in the bubble. It has been the opposite story for the Bucks who have stumbled in the bubble, but they’re always up for a chance at revenge against the Raptors after what happened last season. The Raptors are the team in better form, but they’re playing this one on zero days rest and I just think this is the matchup to get Bucks back on track with the playoffs just around the corner.
