Golden Eagles and Brotherly Love face off in the third round of the TBT tournament on July 10th at Nationwide Arena. The TBT Tournament is a winner take all tournament. Both of these teams had to win one game to get to this point. Get free NBA Picks and NBA Predictions for every game at PickDawgz.
The Golden Eagles are a team that is filled with mostly Marquette alumni, most who have found great career overseas after being standouts in Milwaukee. One interesting tidbit about this team is they have Jarvis Williams on the team, a player who played his college ball at Division II Minnesota State University Mankato.
In the first game the Golden Eagles faced off against Team CP3, a game they pulled away from late in the game. In that game the Golden Eagles won 76-67, and for the most part it was a balanced attack. They had seven players score at least five points in the first game. The leader of the team was Darius Johnson-Odom who put up 21 points. Dwight Buycks also had a big game putting up 12 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
Team Brotherly Love is a team that likes to consider themselves underdogs, and they also have only played one game. They got a second round bye because of a team with a COVID related disqualification. In the first game of the season, Team Brotherly Love faced off with the Stillwater Stars and in that game they won 87-71. In that game it was Khalif Wyatt who was the star of the show putting up 27 points. Ramone Moore was a star at Temple and he also had 24 points in that game . To win this game they are going to need both guys to step up and run up the score again.
These are both teams who found success in their first game, but in this one, Brotherly Love has the advantage. They might not be as talented overall, but they have two guys who are going to have big games. Back Team Brotherly Love to come out on top.
