Eberlein Drive is no stranger to the TBT Tournament. Named after a cul-de-sac in Michigan. Eberlein Drive has been in the TBT Tournament six times and this is a team that is loaded with overseas talent. Tim Quarterman who was a strong player at LSU averaging 11.2 points per game during the 2015-16 season.
Another player who is going to be leaned on heavily in this game is J.P. Macura who averaged 10.6 points per game during his four years at Xavier.
Shaq Buchanan was a standout at Murray State and has had a nice pro career so far. As a sophomore with the Racers, Buchanan averaged 18.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.3 assists.
Team Brotherly Love had to play on the first day of the tournament but it really wasn’t too much of an issue beating Stillwater Stars 87-71. The stars of Brotherly Love are Khalif Wyatt and Ramone Moore who played together at Temple University. Wyatt led the team putting up 27 points on 7-10 from the field. Brotherly Love was down 10 points early in the game, but in the second half they were dominant on the way to the blowout win.
Another player who is going to be an x-factor for this team is D.J. Newbill who played his college ball at Penn State. Newbill went 4-9 from the field putting up 13 points. Brotherly Love shot 49 percent from the field and 38 percent from the field.
There is no doubt that Brotherly Love looked good in their first game, but in terms of talent, Eberlein Drive is the better team, and they have the fresher legs coming into one. Look for three-point shooting to be too much, and that will lead to a win and cover by Eberlein Drive.
