War Tampa is a team mostly made up of former Auburn Tigers and players from Florida, but there is a mix of players from all over. Taking a quick look at the roster, Horace Spencer and Bryce Brown look to be the stars of the show. As a senior. Brown averaged 15.9 points and was Auburn’s program leader in three-pointers made. Brown is currently a member of the NBA G League’s Maine Red Claws.
Tayler Persons might be overlooked because he played at Ball State, but as a senior, he averaged 16.7 points per game. Fletcher Magee is a sharpshooter who spent his college days at Wofford. If House of ‘Paign wants to win this game, they need to always keep a close eye on Magee.
Shaun Willett played his last two years of college ball at Queens University. As a senior, he averaged 19.9 points per game.
House of “Paign is an Illinois Fighting Illini heavy team, but they do have some other players from other schools. Looking at the roster Malcolm Hill is one of the first players to stand out. Hill has played overseas but people remember him for what he did at Illinois, a place he has the third-most points in program history.
While War Tampa has a lot of stud point guards, House of ‘Paign seemed to focus more on the big men, a place they could have an advantage. Michael Finke played his last season of college ball at Grand Canyon averaging 12.1 points per game.
The key x-factor is going to be Mike Daum who was a standout player with South Dakota State. As a senior in 2018-19, Daum averaged 25.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
In terms of talent, these two teams are pretty similar but Daum is going to be the difference for House of “Paign. He is going to have a big game in this one and lead the team with a lot of Illinois players to a victory.
