The Detroit Pistons play host to the red-hot Milwaukee Bucks at Little Caesars Arena on Wednesday.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been on fire lately as they've won 18 of their first 21 games of the season and they will be aiming for a 13th straight victory after making light work of the lowly Knicks in a 132-88 home win on Monday. Giannis Antetkounmpo led the team with 29 points, 15 rebounds and three assists, DJ Wilson added 19 points on eight of nine shooting off the bench while Khris Middleton chipped in with 16 points in 18 minutes of action. As a team, the Bucks shot a sizzling 55 percent from the field and 16 of 35 from the 3-point line as they cruised in the second half after outscoring the Knicks by 72-45 in a ruthless first half effort.
Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons have been in a bit of rut lately as they've lost eight of their last 11 games, but they will be looking to build some momentum after blowing past the struggling Spurs in a 132-98 home win on Sunday. Christain Wood led the team with 28 points and 10 rebounds on 11 of 14 shooting, Luke Kennard added 20 points on eight of 12 shooting while Andre Drummond chipped in with nine points, 16 rebounds and three blocks. As a team, the Pistons shot a sizzling 59 percent from the field and 15 of 31 from the 3-point line as they led by eight going into halftime, before pouring in 73 points in the second half to make it a complete blowout.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games, 0-4 ATS in their last four Wednesday games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games against a team with a winning home record. The Pistons are 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games, 1-11-1 ATS in their last 13 games against a team with a winning record and 8-21-1 ATS in their last 30 games overall.
Head to head, the over is 5-2 in the last seven meetings, the Bucks are 3-0-1 ATS in the last four meetings in Detroit and the Bucks are 18-7-2 ATS in the last 27 meetings overall.
The Bucks have been on a tear lately and it doesn't look like they're slowing down anytime soon, especially now that Middleton has returned to his normal spot in the starting lineup. The Pistons haven't been able to build momentum all season, but they've picked up their play over their last six games and they looked great in their win over the Spurs. I expect the Pistons to put up a good fight at home, but it won't be enough to stop the Bucks from claiming their 13th straight win here.
