The NASCAR Xfinity Series will roll into the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday for the Alsco 302. Las Vegas is a 1.5-mile cookie-cutter oval and has steeply banked turns. We should expect great side by side racing on Saturday in the Alsco 302, especially on the restarts. The Alsco 302 begins the 2021 Playoffs for the Xfinity Series and Saturday night’s race will consist of 200 laps to make up the 302-mile advertised distance.
Here are a few drivers to consider for the Alsco 302.
Austin Cindric +350- Cindric comes into Saturday’s Alsco 302 starting from the pole position after a crazy 2nd place finish at Bristol one week ago sliding across the finish line behind Allmendinger. Cindric has 5 wins on the 2021 Xfinity Series circuit with 16 top 5 finishes. Looking to keep the momentum going here in the playoffs, Cindric will look to better the 4th place effort in the March Xfinity race here at Las Vegas. A win guarantees a birth in the round of 8 and with wild racing ahead at Talladega and the Charlotte Roval, Cindric should be very strong here at Vegas.
Ty Gibbs +400- Ty will begin Saturday’s Alsco Uniforms 302 from the 6th position. Ty comes off a sub-par 11th place finish at Bristol one week ago, surprising after he dominated the Bristol ARCA race on Thursday night. First trip for Ty Gibbs to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the Xfinity Series car but on the positive note led the last 20 laps at Charlotte in May to pick up a win on a 1.5-mile oval. Although not in 2021 Playoff contention, Ty is will be competitive on Saturday night.
A.J. Allmendinger +700- A.J. take the green flag for Saturday’s Alsco Uniforms 302 from the 2nd position. Allmendinger has plenty Cup Series experience here at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. A.J. has 10 Cup Series starts at Las Vegas in addition to the win in the Xfinity Series back in March of 2021, leading 44 of the 200 total laps. A.J. and team are pumped up after one of the greatest finishes of all time in Bristol one week ago, look for A.J. to sweep the season at Las Vegas.
Daniel Hemric +750- Hemric will start from the 7th position on Saturday night for the Alsco Uniforms 302. Hemric comes off a 10th place performance at Bristol one week ago after leading 78 of the 300 laps reeling off 3 top 10 finishes over the last 4 starts. Hemric started 3rd and finished 2nd in the Xfinity race held at Las Vegas back in March of 2021 with the 2nd best driver rating from the race. Hemric at a nice value here on Saturday night, be very considerate.
Noah Gragson +800- Gragson will fire off alongside Riley Herbst from the 9th position on Saturday night for the Alsco Uniforms 302. Noah started the 2021 Xfinity season off rough but has since turned the season around with 16 top 10 finishes including 10 top 5s and 2 wins. Gragson placed 5th in the March Xfinity race here in Vegas after starting 34th. Homecoming race here for Noah on Saturday afternoon, look for the team to be to the top 5 quick on Saturday night.
