2021 Food City 300 9/17/21 NASCAR Xfinity Series Picks, Odds, and Prediction
The NASCAR Xfinity Series will take on the Bristol Motor Speedway Friday night in the Food City 300. Friday’s Xfinity Series race will consist of 300 laps to make up the advertised distance. Bristol is a .533 high-banked short track and plenty of action always take place. Friday marks the end of the regular season for the NASCAR Xfinity Series and will begin the 2021 Playoffs next race at Las Vegas.
Here are a few drivers to consider for the Food City 300.
Justin Allgaier +350- Justin will take the green flag for Friday’s Xfinity race at Bristol from the 2nd position. Allgaier led 126 of the 300 laps on the way to a 5th place finish in the 2020 Food City 300 at Bristol. In 20 career Xfinity starts at Bristol, Allgaier has 12 top 10 finishes including 9 top 5s and 1 win. Allgaier has been one of the fastest on the concrete at Bristol over the last few Xfinity races, nice favorite for Friday night.
Ty Gibbs +360- Ty will take the green flag on Friday night from the 3rd position for the Food City 300. Ty will make the 14th start of the 2021 Xfinity Series in the #54 Gibbs Toyota on Friday and the Food City 300 will mark the first time Ty has raced at Bristol in his short career. Gibbs finally found way back to a top 10 at Richmond last week in the Xfinity Series after 2 finishes outside the top 10 at Michigan and the INDY road course. Ty should once again be very strong and with a solid starting spot, look for Ty to be at or leading quick.
Austin Cindric +450- Cindric will fire off from the 9th position on Friday for the Xfinity Series race at Bristol after a disappointing 16th place finish at Richmond one week ago. In 6 career Xfinity races at Bristol, Cindric has 3 top 10 finishes and 1 top 5 finish and surprisingly zero wins. Austin finished 3rd in the 2020 Food City 300 here at Bristol coming away with the 4th best driver rating of 122.6. Cindric will once again be fast and is worth consideration.
Harrison Burton +750- Burton will start the from the 6th position at Bristol on Friday night. Burton has 3 career Xfinity Series starts at Bristol with 3 top 10 finishes including 2 top 5s. Burton holds down the 9th spot currently in the Xfinity Series point standings and does not have a win on the season. With solid efforts from Harrison in races past at Bristol plus the great starting spot on Friday night, look for Burton to be in contention as a nice dark horse.
Noah Gragson +1200- Gragson will fire off from the pole position on Friday afternoon following the victory at Richmond one week ago. Gragson has won the last 2 Xfinity Series races here in 2021 and is going for the 3rd at Bristol on Friday night. Bristol suits Gragson’s style very well and in 4 Xfinity starts at Bristol has 3 top 10 finishes including 1 top 5 and a victory in April of 2020. Difficult to win 3 consecutive races on the Xfinity Series but is worth a sprinkle of action here on Noah.
