The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series returns to the Nashville Superspeedway on Friday night for the first time since 2011 to run the Rackley Roofing 200. Nashville is a concrete track that is 1.333 miles in length, compares to the cookie cutters such as Las Vegas, Kansas Speedway, and Kentucky. Friday’s race will consist of 150 laps to make up the 200-mile advertised distance. Practice and single truck qualifying will happen prior to race time on Friday night here for the Truck Series.
Here are 5 drivers to consider for the Rackley Roofing 200.
John Hunter Nemechek +250- John Hunter currently leads the point standings in the 2021 Truck Series, with 9 top 10 finishes on the season including 7 top 5 finishes and 4 victories. Nemechek is white hot right now coming off 2 victories in a row at Charlotte and Texas respectively. John started on the pole at Kansas and finished a respectable 5th place back in May and won the Truck Series event at Las Vegas in March. Nemechek has been the class of field in 2021 in the NASCAR Truck Series and will once again have a strong run on Friday night.
Austin Hill +700- Hill rides into Friday’s Rackley Roofing 200 3rd in the 2021 Truck Series standings. Austin has 8 top 10 finishes including 4 top 5 finishes to date in the NASCAR Truck Series in 2021, after starting off slow at Daytona back in February. Hill has a 2nd place finish, followed up by two 3rd place finishes on the 1.5-mile ovals in the Truck Series here in 2021. Off a 9th place finish at Charlotte and a 4th place finish at Texas, Hill once again is proving that he’s in a Playoff truck. Consider Austin for the win on Friday night.
Ross Chastain +1100- Friday night’s Rackley Roofing 200 at the Nashville Superspeedway will mark the 4th start of 2021 for Chastain in the NASCAR Truck Series. Ross will once again pilot the #45 truck for Niece Motorsports on Friday night. Chastain finished 7th at Atlanta in March, had a 2nd place finish at the Kansas Speedway in May and was disqualified at Texas last week after failing post-race inspection. Chastain has been in great form in the Cup Series car and we should see another great run from him here at a great price on Friday night.
William Byron +1200- William Byron will come down from the Cup Series to have some fun with the Truck Series guys on Friday driving the #27 Rackley Roofing Chevy for Rackley W.A.R. Friday’s race at the Nashville Superspeedway will mark the first Truck Series race for Byron since 2016 where he finished 5th in the final standings. Byron has been on a tear with the entire Hendrick organization in the Cup Series lately and having the opportunity for seat time at Nashville will be invaluable on Friday night. Look for Byron and the Rackley crew to be fast.
Josh Berry +4000– Josh Berry comes down from the Xfinity Series to run the 2nd truck for the Rackley W.A.R. team in the #25 truck on Friday night for the Rackley Roofing 200. Nashville Superspeedway is close to Berry’s hometown of Hendersonville, TN and no doubt will have the support on Friday night. Berry made the start at Texas one week ago for Rackley W.A.R. in the #25 truck, started 33rd and came away with a top 10 finish. Longshot price on a talented Josh Berry, be sure to sprinkle action on Friday night.
