2021 Pit Boss 250 5/22/21 NASCAR Xfinity Series Picks, Odds, and Prediction
The NASCAR Xfinity Series makes a trip to Austin, Texas on Saturday to the Circuit of the Americas for the Pit Boss 250. Saturday marks the inaugural Xfinity Series event at COTA and the race will consist of 44 laps to make up the 250-kilometer distance advertised. With practice and qualifying taking place prior to the race some sample size has to the fast cars will accompany in some of the data.
Here are a few drivers to consider for the Pit Boss 250
Austin Cindric +250- Cindric comes into Saturday’s Pit Boss 250 atop the Xfinity Series point standings currently. Through 10 races in 2021 in Xfinity competition, Cindric has 8 top 10 finishes 7 of those are top 5 finishes with 3 victories. In 14 career Xfinity appearances on road courses, Cindrice has racked up 4 wins and 10 top 5 finishes. Finishing 2nd at the Daytona Road Course earlier in the season to Ty Gibbs, Cindric will have to contend with Cup regulars in Saturday’s race but I love the talent Austin brings to the road courses.
Kyle Busch +300- Kyle making his first Xfinity start of 2021 at COTA on Saturday afternoon for the Pit Boss 250. Busch pretty much the greatest of the Xfinity Series in history and will be racing in one of the best prepared cars on Saturday afternoon for Gibbs. Kyle has 15 starts in the Xfinity Series on road courses that include 11 top 10 finishes 7 of which are top 5 finishes and 2 victories. Kyle could end up being the outright favorite before the start of the race on Saturday afternoon, be a top contender to win.
A.J. Allmendinger +400- Allmendinger is currently 4th in the Xfinity Series standings and in February finished a disappointing 35th after an accident at the Daytona Road Course. A.J. finished 4th in August of 2020 at Daytona in the Xfinity Series on the road course, and he won the Charlotte ROVAL race in October of 2020. Allmendinger is another of the great road racers in Xfinity Series history, with the technical skill to lead the way. In only 11 starts in the Xfinity Series in 2020, A.J. accomplished 8 top 10 finishes so he is well versed, consider him for the win on Saturday.
Daniel Hemric +1300- Hemric comes into Saturday’s Pit Boss 250 2nd in the Xfinity Series points currently. On the 2021 season, Hemric has 8 top 10 finishes including 5 top 5 finishes. Daniel finished 3rd at the road course in Daytona in February and has finished outside the top 12 in only 1 race on the 2021 season. Hemric does bring a good amount of road course experience into Saturday’s Xfinity Series race and is at a value here for the Pit Boss 250.
Kevin Harvick +1400- Harvick will be making a start in the #5 car on Saturday afternoon for B.J. McLeod in the Rush Truck Centers Ford. Kevin has 11 Xfinity Road Course starts to his credit and 9 top finishes with 2 victories in the races. Harvick is a top 5 road racer on the Cup Series level and should perform well here on Saturday. Sprinkle some action don’t go crazy on Harvick as he hasn’t raced with the McLeod team on the season.
