2021 Wise Power 200 -NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Picks, Odds, and Prediction 5/1/21
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series head to the Kansas Speedway on Saturday night for Wise Power 200. Saturday’s race at Kansas will be 134 laps to make up the advertised 200-mile distance for the Truck Series. Kansas is a typical 1.5-mile cookie cutter oval and correlates to Las Vegas Motor Speedway. In 3 races at Kansas in 2020, 3 different drivers visited victory lane.
Here are a few drivers to consider for the Wise Power 200.
Kyle Busch -121– Kyle will head in Saturday’s event has a heavy favorite on for the Wise Power 200. Busch will roll off from the 2nd position for Saturday night’s race at Kansas. Saturday night will mark the 4th start of the 2021 season for Kyle, winning at Atlanta and finishing 2nd to teammate John Hunter Nemecheck at Las Vegas and at Richmond last time out in the Truck Series. Kyle has pretty much been the greatest to come through the NASCAR Truck Series and is a decent favorite for Saturday night.
John Hunter Nemechek +550- John Hunter will fire off from the pole position on Saturday evening for the Wise Power 200 at the Kansas Speedway. In 6 races on the 2021 NASCAR Truck Series season, John has 4 top 5 finishes including 2 victories both coming against boss man Kyle Busch. The only blemish has been the crash at Bristol on the dirt in the closing laps of the first stage. Once again, Nemechek will have a fast truck on Saturday night and will have a great chance against the field.
Austin Hill +1200- Austin Hill will roll off from the 7th starting spot for the Wise Power 200 on Saturday night at Kansas. Austin had a victory, a 6th place finish, and a 3rd place finish respectively at the Kansas Speedway in the 2020 Truck Series season. Hill didn’t have the greatest start to the 2021 Truck Series at Daytona but has come into form since failing to finish outside the top 10 over the last 4 races. Hill will be very happy to go back to the 1.5-mile track, where the performance has been just off the KBM trucks.
Sheldon Creed +1200- Sheldon will take the green flag on the 4th row from the 8th starting spot on Saturday night at Kansas. Creed was off to a great start to the 2021 Truck Series season through Daytona but has struggled here on the short tracks as of late. Solid top 5 finish at the 1.5-mile Atlanta Motor Speedway 2 races ago and Creed should have a competitive truck Saturday night. Sheldon finished 2nd in the 2020 Truck Series Playoff race here at Kansas, and the team should bring back the notes from that great performance.
Ross Chastain +3000- Chastain will be the longshot pick for the Wise Power 200 on Saturday night. Having to come from the back starting in the 34th spot, Ross will have some work to do and will have to be patient. Chastain has 1 start to his credit here on the 2021 Truck Series coming at Atlanta, started 40th and finished 7th. Ross picked up a victory in the Truck Series in 2019 and will have a solid truck on Saturday night. Great value in a Truck Series race for a driver that is currently racing in the Cup Series full time.
