The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will head to the Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday night for the Pintys Truck Race on Dirt. Saturday marks the first time in Truck Series history that a race will be completed on dirt at Bristol and the race will total 150 laps. 4 qualifying heat races will precede the 150-lap main event to take place and we have a few Cup Series regulars making starts on Saturday evening.
Here are a few drivers to consider for the Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt.
Kyle Larson +150– Kyle will race in the 3rd qualifying race on Saturday afternoon prior to the main event and start the heat race in the 9th spot. Shouldn’t take long for Larson to get to the front, but the focus will no doubt be on the main event. Larson can race anything with 4 wheels and a motor, proven to be a winner in a multitude of race cars. Larson won the 2016 Eldora Truck Series race on dirt and comes from a dirt racing background. Larson is the favorite for a reason and should be expected to win Saturday night.
Chase Briscoe +600- Briscoe will be in the 3rd qualifying race with Larson on Saturday afternoon rolling from the 11th position. Chase won the 2018 Eldora Truck Series race on dirt, leading 53 of the 150 laps. Briscoe started his racing career on dirt as a youngster in the 410 sprint cars up in Indiana. Of course, Briscoe did run Xfinity full time in 2020 going onto to winning 9 races and finished 4th in the standings. Chase has yet to turn a lap on the Bristol dirt surface but expect Chase to be around for the win in the final stage.
Stewart Friesen +600- Stewart won the most recent Truck Series race held on a dirt surface at Eldora in 2019. Friesen will roll off from the 5th position in heat race # 1 on Saturday afternoon at Bristol, and there isn’t much competition starting ahead. Friesen grew up racing on dirt and has a lot of feature wins in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series among other big block modified victories on dirt tracks. Off to a great start in the Truck Series in 2021, expect Friesen to keep things rolling on Saturday night.
Grant Enfinger +1400- Enfinger will roll off 5th in the stacked 3rd qualifying heat race on Saturday afternoon at Bristol. In 3 Truck Series races held at the Eldora dirt track, Enfinger had 3 top finishes, 2 of which were top 3 finishes. Grant exemplifies patience in each Truck Series race and has an ability to find the fast lines out on the racetrack week in and week out. Grant is a dark horse pick to win the main event outright at Bristol on Saturday night, so be considerate of Enfinger.
Matt Crafton +1600- Crafton will be part of the 2nd qualifying heat race, starting from the 10th position on Saturday afternoon. In 7 starts at Eldora, Crafton has 7 top 10 finishes including 2 top 5 finishes and 1 win. No doubt Matt has the most dirt experience in a NASCAR Truck on dirt. Matt has never won a Truck Series race at Bristol on the normal concrete surface and now has an opportunity to try and grab that first win at Bristol in a Truck on dirt. Great value here with Crafton heading into Saturday’s Pinty’s Dirt Race, sprinkle some action here on Matt Crafton.
