The NASCAR Xfinity Series heads back east to the Atlanta Motor Speedway for the running of the 2021 EchoPark 250 on Saturday afternoon. 163 laps will make up the 250-mile advertised distance on Saturday afternoon for the Xfinity Series Race. Atlanta is very abrasive on tires, one of the highest tire-ware-surfaces the NASCAR Series visits on the year, so experience here usually rises to the top
Here are a few drivers to consider for the EchoPark 250.
Martin Truex Jr. +185- Truex will make a return to the Xfintiy Series for the first time since 2010 and for the first time to Atlanta in a Xfinity Series car since 2005. Truex will be in the Gibbs #54 Toyota and will roll off from the 18th starting position. Truex has been one of the top 3 drivers in the Cup Series on the 1.5-mile tracks over the recent years. Martin will have to fight some traffic and honestly get a feel for the Xfinity car through the first stage and possibly into the 2nd stage. By race end though, expect Truex to be in the top 3 and knocking on the door for a win.
Austin Cindric +300- Cindric will fire off on Saturday for the Xfinity Series race from the pole position. Cindric led 119 of the 200 laps at Phoenix last Saturday, claiming win 2 on the 2021 season. Cindric has failed to finish outside the top 5 in all 5 races on the season. Cindric has Atlanta circled to perform well at because in 3 Xfinity races at Atlanta, only 1 top 10 finish. Riding a ton of momentum, Cindric might set sail all the way through stage 1 on Saturday and be there at the end.
A.J. Allmendinger +650- Allmendinger will take the green flag for Saturday’s EchoPark 250 from the 3rd starting spot. After a couple of disappointing finishes, A.J. reeled off a big-time victory at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway 2 weeks ago and followed the win up with a 5th place finish at Phoenix 1 week ago. Allmendinger won the Xfinity Series race at Atlanta in 2020, leading 37 laps after starting back in the 30th position. A.J. currently seems to be the best of the Kaulig stable and has a chance to win on Saturday in Atlanta.
Daniel Hemric + 1100- Hemric will start from the 11 position for the EchoPark 200 on Saturday afternoon. Hemric has been on fire as of late minus the 23rd place finish at Phoenix 1 week ago after a crazy restart that was out of his control. Great spot for Hemric to rebound on Saturday at Atlanta, coming home 4th with JR Motorsports in 2020 here at Atlanta. Great value once again on Daniel Hemric on Saturday afternoon, consider a small wager on the dark horse.
Justin Allgaier +1300- Allgaier will roll off from the 6th position on Saturday for the Xfinity Series race at Atlanta. Justin heads into Saturday’s Xfinity Series race with 4 top 10 finishes over the last 5 races at Atlanta, including a win and a 3rd place in the Xfinity Series in 2019. Atlanta has been one of the best tracks throughout Allgaier’s career in the Xfinity Series and he will have another chance to shine on Saturday in the EchoPark 250. Another value play that is worth a shot on Saturday with Allgaier, be sure to consider a wager.
