The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will head to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Friday night for the Bucked Up 200. Las Vegas is a 1.5- mile intermediate oval, and tire wear is a medium. Handling around the turns is key to a fast truck at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and the restarts are usually entertaining. The truckers come close to holding the throttle wide open around the speedway and fuel mileage could come into play.
Here are a few drivers to consider for the Bucked Up 200.
Kyle Busch -125– Kyle will roll off from the 29th starting spot for Friday Night’s Truck Series race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and I do expect him to be in the top 5 if not in the lead by the end of stage 1. Kyle led 108 of the 134 total laps in the 2020 spring race at Las Vegas on the way to capturing a win after starting in 3rd. Busch has proven in the past the dominance in the NASCAR Truck Series and we should expect him to lead quite a bit of laps here on Friday night.
Sheldon Creed +550- Creed will most likely be the challenger to Kyle Busch on Friday night and will start outside the front row in the 2nd position for the Bucked Up 200. Off to great start here in 2021, Creed finished 6th in the first race on the big track at Daytona and followed that up with a 2nd place finish at the Daytona Road Course 1 week later. In 4 starts at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Creed has finished in the top 10 all 4 times and has 2 top 5s included. I expect a nice challenge from Creed on Friday night at Las Vegas, worth a roll of the dice.
John Hunter Nemechek +1400- John Hunter will fire off from a nice track position 3rd spot for the Bucked Up 200 on Friday at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. 2 top 10 finishes at Daytona during speed weeks, John Hunter has already been fitting in well here for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the NASCAR Truck Series. 2 top finishes in the Xfinity Series for Nemechek at Las Vegas and coming off a full-time ride in 2020 in the NASCAR Cup Series, we have big value with John Hunter if an issue arises for Kyle Busch on Friday Night. Consider a sprinkle of action here on Nemechek.
Ben Rhodes +2000- Rhodes starts on the pole Friday night off an amazing sweep of the Daytona back to back to begin 2021. Vegas has been kind to Rhodes with 5 top 10 finishes including 3 top 5 finishes and a victory in the Truck Series in 2017. Having the opportunity with the price Rhodes is heading into Friday’s Bucked Up 200 is worth a considerable shot.
Johnny Sauter +2800- Sauter the veteran will begin the Truck Series race on Friday night from the 11th position. As no stranger to the Truck Series and no stranger to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Johnny has wheeled off 10 top 10 finishes including 7 top 5s and 1 win in the Truck Series at Las Vegas. With the longshot odds on Sauter Friday night, Johnny will be worth a look for the win here at Vegas on Friday night. Ky
