2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series Daytona Road Course Super Start Batteries 188 Picks, Odds, and Prediction, Preview
The NASCAR Xfinity Series will be back at Daytona on the road course configuration on Saturday for Super Start Batteries 188. The Xfinity drivers will make 52 laps around the Daytona Road Course to make up the 188-mile advertised distance on Saturday afternoon. Pit strategy will be the name of the game on Saturday afternoon as these hungry Xfinity drivers look to make a name here at Daytona on Saturday afternoon.
Here are a few drivers to consider for the Super Start Batteries 188.
Austin Cindric +120- Cindric will start outside the front row in the 2nd position for Saturday’s Xfinity Series Super Start Batteries 188. In August of 2020, Cindric led 21 of the 52 laps at the Daytona Road Course on his way to picking up the victory. Cindric has arguably been one of the best road course racers on the Xfinity circuit in recent years and is the huge favorite here for a reason. Consider Austin big time for the win on Saturday.
A.J. Allmendinger +275- Allmendinger will roll off 6th on Saturday in the Super Start Batteries 188. A.J. finished 4th in August of 2020 at Daytona in the Xfinity Series on the road course, and he won the Charlotte ROVAL race in October of 2020. Allmendinger is another of the great road racers in Xfinity Series history, with the technical skill to lead the way. In only 11 starts in the Xfinity Series in 2020, A.J. accomplished 8 top 10 finishes so he is well versed, consider him for the win on Saturday.
Noah Gragson +800- Gragson will have to do some work on Saturday from a 26th starting spot for the Super Start Batteries 188. Noah finished 3rd in the 2020 Daytona Road Course event and also had a 3rd place finish at the INDY road course along with a 6th place finish at Road America. Saturday will be the furthest back Noah has started a road course race in the last couple of seasons, but I think he has the patience to get to the front and contend.
Andy Lally +2500- Andy Lally is a pure road course specialist and will begin Saturday’s Super Start Batteries 188 from the 24th position. In the 2 starts Lally made in the Xfinity Series in 2020, he finished 5th at Elkhart Lake and 5th at the Daytona Road Course. Saturday’s race has some long shot chances and I think Lally could be in position to upset the field if events go right for him.
Riley Herbst +3300- Herbst made an appearance in the Truck Series race on Friday night at the Daytona Road Course and enters Saturday’s Xfinity Race with a good number of laps under his belt already this weekend. Riley will roll off from the 16th starting position on Saturday as he has taken over the spot for Chase Briscoe in the 98 Ford Mustang. Sprinkle some action here on Herbst Saturday.
