The NASCAR Xfinity Series will begin the round of 8 at the Kansas Speedway on Saturday evening in the Kansas Lottery 300. Kansas is a 1.5 mile oval, 200 laps will make up the advertised 300 mile distance on Saturday night. The top 4 drivers in the 2020 standings are in close competition now with the 5th and 6th place drivers on their heels. Winning at Kansas would secure a place in the final 4 coming at Phoenix in a few weeks.
Here are a few drivers to consider for the Kansas Lottery 300.
Austin Cindric +250- Cindric will begin the Xfinity race on Saturday from the 2nd position. Cindric is 2nd in the point standings currently, 10 points behind Chase Briscoe. Austin comes into Saturday’s race as a co-favorite to Chase Briscoe and rightfully so. Cindric finished 2nd in the first Kansas race back in July of this year. Austin won both races at Kentucky Speedway and followed those 2 wins up with a victory at the Texas Motor Speedway back in July as well. Cindric will have great track position at the drop of the green flag on Saturday, and I expect him to maintain top 5 throughout. Don’t think twice about it, take Cindric.
Chase Briscoe +250- Chase will roll off from the 6th starting spot on Saturday. Currently, Chase leads the 2020 standings and starts out the round of 8 in the playoffs at a favorable track. Chase is the co-favorite along side Austin Cindric on Saturday night for the Kansas Lottery 300. Briscoe pulled the sweep at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2020, winning both races. Chase had a quality pass percentage of 85 in the Kansas race back in July of 2020 but only managed a 13th place finish. I believe Chase and team come back with a better prepared race car, and battle Cindric for the win on Saturday.
Noah Gragson +700- Noah will fire off from the pole position on Saturday afternoon at the Kansas Speedway for the Kansas Lotter 300. Noah comes into Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 sitting 4th in the 2020 standings. Gragson finished 15th at Kansas back in July in the Xfinity race but since then has finished top 10 in all races except the Daytona race back in August. JR Motorsports will be throwing everything at the 9 car for Gragson on Saturday and he has a great shot at victory lane at the end of the Kansas Lottery 300,
Brandon Jones +1000- Jones will roll off from the 5th position on Saturday afternoon at the Kansas Speedway. Brandon is 6th in the 2020 standings and needs a solid run on Saturday afternoon to inch closer to the top 4 range. Jones found victory lane back in July of 2020 here at Kansas leading the final 10 laps. Jones was a top 3 car that day regardless of only leading 10 laps as he was 3rd in passing quality percentage of 88.6.Jones is the only driver of the 3 Joe Gibbs Racing drivers in the Xfinity Series that made the round of 8 and I can only imagine what the team will put into the car. Great value here on Brandon Jones.
