The NASCAR Xfinity Series will roll into the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday for the Alsco 300. Las Vegas is a 1.5 mile cookie-cutter oval, and has steeply banked turns. We should expect great side by side racing on Saturday in the Alsco 300, especially on the restarts. The Alsco 300 is the 2nd race of the 3 races that make up the round of 12 in the 2020 Playoffs for the Xfinity Series.
Here are a few drivers to consider for the Alsco 300.
Austin Cindric +250- Austin will start Saturday’s Xfinity Series race from the 2nd position. Once again, Cindric will be one of the cars to beat on Saturday night in the Alsco 300 at Las Vegas. Cindric finished 2nd at Las Vegas back in February, and finished 3rd last week at Bristol. Cindric currently sits 2nd in the point standings and at 1.5 mile tracks in 2020 has 8 top 10 finishes. Look for Cindric to have a great run on Saturday evening.
Chase Briscoe +300- Briscoe will roll of from the pole on Saturday for the Alsco 300. Briscoe won the race in Bristol 1 week ago, and he won the Las Vegas race back of February of 2020. Chase currently sits atop the 2020 standings, with a series leading 7 victories on the 2020 season. Chase led 89 of the 200 laps back in February on the way to victory at Vegas. Briscoe could easily lead all of stage 1 on Saturday night starting from the pole at Vegas, as long as the team hits the set up. Consider Chase heavily on Saturday night for a victory.
Justin Allgaier +550- Justin will fire off from the 3rd starting spot on Saturday night at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Justin comes into the Alsco 300 sitting 3rd in the 2020 standings. Despite crashing out of 6 races in 2020, Justin has made a heck of a comeback here over the last 3 races. Sweeping both races at Richmond, and a solid 5th place finish at Brisol 1 week ago have the team heading in the right direction. Allgaier has been consistent at Vegas with 10 top 10 finishes in 12 races but has yet to win in Sin City. Take a look at Allgaier on Saturday evening.
Noah Gragson +1100- Gragson begins Saturday’s Alsco 300 in Las Vegas from the 6th position. Gragson hails from Las Vegas and would love nothing than to claim a victory for family and friends on Saturday night. Gragson has finished in the top 10 every time in the 3 Xfinity races run at Vegas, including a 4th place finish back in February. Gragson sits 4th in the 2020 standings, and victory could propel ahead of Justin Allgaier. Noah is my long shot to win on Saturday night, sprinkle a little action in.
Jeff’s Pick Chase Briscoe +300
