Friday night the NASCAR Xfinity Series will race part 1 of a double header at the Richmond International Raceway in the Go Bowling 250. Richmond is a .75 mile oval, so we will race 250 laps on Friday evening equaling out to 187.5 miles. Richmond is a flat short track, that is wide yet passing is tough which makes racing here fun to watch. Track position will be most important at Richmond on Friday evening, so a mistake free race is crucial to winning.
Here are a few drivers to consider for the Go Bowling 250.
Kyle Busch -139- Kyle will make start number 5 on the 2020 Xfinity Series on Friday evening in the Go Bowling 250. Kyle will start Friday evening’s race from the 29th starting spot. Busch will have to pass a majority of the field to be in contention in the final stage, and I have the upmost confidence in him to do so. Good chance Kyle wins the event on Friday evening, and I don’t mind him for the outright victory.
Austin Cindric +550- Austin will start Fridays Xfinity Series race from the 7th position. Once again, Cindric will be one of the cars to beat on Friday. Cindric has 8 top 5 finishes over the last 10 races, and 18 top 10 finishes in the 23 races completed on the 2020 schedule. Cindric will look to have a bounce back at Richmond, as over the last 2 races has finished outside the top 5, 8th at Daytona and 12th at Darlington last week. Cindric is one of the few that can beat Kyle Busch on Friday night, so give him a look.
Ross Chastain +1100- Chastain will roll off from the coveted pole position on Friday evening in the Go Bowling 250. What a battle Ross and Denny Hamlin had for the win last week at Darlington, truly trading paint. Over the last 4 races, Chastain has 4 top 10 finishes, 3 of those being top 5s. Chastain finished 9th at Phoenix back in February before the break, but he is starting to get the momentum rolling for the playoffs. Chastain is worth a shot on Friday evening.
Harrison Burton +1400- Burton will fire off from the 3rd starting spot on Friday evening in the Go Bowling 250. Harrison finished 2nd back at Phoenix earlier in 2020, and Phoenix is a close comparison to what we should expect to see on Friday night. Harrison is the longest shot I will be considering here at Richmond on Thursday evening. I love the track position that Harrison will have to begin the Go Bowling 250. I will sprinkle a little action here on Harrison Burton on Friday evening.
