Saturday afternoon the NASCAR Xfinity Series will do battle at the Kansas Speedway for the Kansas Lottery 250. Kansas is a 1.5 mile d-shaped oval, also known as a cookie cutter race track. Kansas is similar to Las Vegas, Chicago, and Kentucky Speedway. The Xfinity race on Saturday will be 167 laps to make up the distance in the Kansas Lottery 250. We found victory lane last week at Texas in the Xfinity Series, let’s repeat at Kansas on Saturday.
Here are a 5 drivers to consider for the Kansas Lottery 250.
Chase Briscoe +250- Chase will start the Kansas Lottery 250 from the 6th position. Briscoe is on top of the point standings heading into the Kansas Lottery 250. Chase 13 top 10 finishes in the 16 races that have been completed including 10 top 5 finishes. Chase has 5 wins on the 2020 season, including the first win on the season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Chase is the co-favorite for the win on Saturday, and I will have action on him.
Austin Cindric +250- Cindric is the other co-favorite along with Chase Briscoe for the Kansas Lottery 250. Cindric will start from the 4th position, so he will have optimal track position to begin the Xfinity race. Currently, Cindric is 2nd in the 2020 Xfinity Series point standings. Austin has 12 top 10 finishes, including 3 wins and 10 top 5 finishes on the 2020 season. Cindric swept both races at Kentucky Speedway 2 weeks ago, and I like his chances here at Kansas Speedway on Saturday afternoon.
Noah Gragson +750- Noah will begin Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 250 from the 10th position. Gragson doesn’t have the best track position to start the race, but he should make it through traffic to contend. Gragson has 11 top finishes on the 2020 season, including 2 wins. Noah finished 4th at Las Vegas back in February of 2020 in that Xfinity race, and finished 7th in the 2nd Kentucky race 2 weeks ago. Gragson has a top 5 race car, and I will consider him for the win on Saturday afternoon.
Harrison Burton +850- Burton currently sits 7th in the 2020 Xfinity Series points standings. Burton has 11 top 5 finishes including 8 top 5 finishes and 2 victories. Burton finished 5th at Las Vegas earlier in the 2020 season, and captured a victory at Homestead-Miami Speedway in June. Burton will start the Kansas Lottery 250 from the 5th position, so he will have great track position. I will sprinkle in some action on Burton for Saturday’s Xfinity Race.
Daniel Hemric +1400- Hemric will start the Xfinity race on Saturday afternoon from the 9th position. Hemric has run 10 of the 16 total races in the 2020 Xfinity Series as he and Jeb Burton have been taking turns in the 8 car. Hemric has 6 top 10 finishes, including 2 top 5 finishes in the 10 races he has competed in during the 2020 Xfinity season. Hemric ran all 36 races for Richard Childress Racing in 2019, so experience is on his side. As my longshot to win on Saturday, Hemric should be in the running in the final stages of the Kansas Lottery 250.
