Saturday afternoon the NASCAR Xfinity Series will battle the Texas Motor Speedway in the My Bariatric Solutions 300. Texas Motor Speedway is a 1.5 mile quad-oval, pretty much a replica of sister track Charlotte Motor Speedway. The Xfinity race will mark the first time any cars will be on the racetrack all weekend, so expect a lot of action in the first stage. We found victory lane with Austin Cindric at Kentucky last weekend, and let’s keep it rolling at Texas on Saturday afternoon.
Here are a 5 drivers to consider for the My Bariatric Solutions 300.
Kyle Busch -143- Kyle has entered Saturday’s Xfinity race at Texas, and once again comes with a heavy price. Kyle has 1 win on the 2020 Xfinity back at Charlotte Motor Speedway, which is very close in comparison to Texas. Kyle finished 2nd at Darlington, and 3rd at Phoenix earlier in the 2020 season. We all know Kyle is the best of the field here at Texas, and should be to the front quickly. With no qualifying at Texas for Saturday’s race, Kyle will have to start in the back half of the field. As long as nothing crazy happens, Busch should make it up front fast.
Austin Cindric +550- Cindric is coming off of a sizzler at Kentucky Speedway. Austin swept both races at Kentucky last weekend, earning his first oval track victory in the Xfinity Series. With the 2 wins at Kentucky, Cindric also has 9 top 5 finishes in the 15 races run in 2020. Austin finished 3rd at Charlotte in May, and 2nd at Las Vegas back in February. Cindric’s crew have this 22 car hooked up on the 1.5 oval tracks right now, and I think Austin has a very solid chance of challenging Busch for the victory on Saturday afternoon.
Noah Gragson +1000- Gragson was in a scuffle after the 2nd race at Kentucky with Harrison Burton back on Friday night. Hopefully, both Gragson and Burton will have moved forward as we continue the 2020 Xfinity Series at Texas. Gragson continues to be a top 5 car each week, and Texas Motor Speedway will be no exception. Noah has 11 top 10 finishes on the year, 8 of those are top 5 finishes. Gragson is another I see challenging for the win on the final lap of race at Texas on Saturday.
Ross Chastain +1200- Ross has yet to find victory lane in the 2020 Nascar Xfinity Series, but he’s has been very close in a lot of races. Chastain finished 4th at Charlotte back in May, and had 2 top 5 finishes at Kentucky last week. On the season, Ross has 13 top 10 finishes and an average finish of 8.33. Chastain is likely at the best price of the season, and I will sprinkle some action in on this play.
Harrison Burton +1500- Burton is the longest shot I am willing to take at Texas on Saturday. Burton was in that scrap with Noah Gragson at Kentucky last week, but now should be refocused for the race at Texas on Saturday afternoon. Harrison won the 1st race at Homestead-Miami Speedway back in June, and finished 5th at Atlanta as well. Burton has struggled to put together top 10 finishes over the last 5 races, as he crashed at Talladega and Pocono. Texas is a perfect opportunity for Harrison to rebound, and I will have a little bit of action in.
