We make our way to Pocono Raceway on Saturday afternoon for the Pocono Organics 325. Pocono Raceway is dubbed “The Tricky Triangle” as there are only 3 turns at this 2.5 mile flat race track. I will be referencing the last 4 races at Pocono Raceway and the last 2 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. We won 3 and lost 1 at Talladega on Monday, up 8.52 units on the year, total record of 30 wins and 18 losses. Let’s keep it rolling at Pocono on Saturday.

Here are a few matchups to consider for the Pocono Organics 325.

Denny Hamlin -115 vs. Martin Truex Jr. -115

Denny has won 5 of the 6 match ups against Truex in the races mentioned above. Truex experienced mechanical issues in the June race in 2019 at Pocono. Denny won the 2019 July race at Pocono and he also has 4 other career wins at Pocono. Denny has been hit and miss in the 2020 season, but no better place to get back to for him than Pocono.

Jeff’s Pick: Denny Hamlin -115

Joey Logano -115 vs. Ryan Blaney -115

Blaney has finished ahead of Logano in 4 of the 6 matchups mentioned above. Both Blaney and Logano have very close driver rating averages of 92 and 90.4 respectfully. The matchup between Blaney and Logano should be very close on Saturday, but I think Blaney pulls it off and takes it home for us.

Jeff’s Pick: Ryan Blaney -115

William Byron -125 vs. Jimmie Johnson -106

Bryon has gone 4 and 2 against Jimmie in the 6 races mentioned in the intro. Byron has averaged at 10th place finish in 6 races mentioned above, while Jimmie has an average finish of 18.33. Byron finished in the top 10 in both 2019 Pocono races, while Jimmie had finishes of 15th and 19th. Bryon has been a front runner here at Pocono in the past, and I don’t see that changing anything this weekend.

Jeff’s Pick: William Byron -115

Martin Truex Jr. -115 vs. Chase Elliott -115

Chase has won 4 of the matchups and Truex has won 2 of the matchups in the 6 races listed on the intro. Truex has the better average driver rating of 98.4 in the last 4 Pocono races, and Chase has an average driver rating of 97.1. Chase has a better average finish than Truex in the 6 races mentioned above however, and honestly Elliott has been faster more times than Truex has in 2020.

Jeff’s Pick: Chase Elliott -115
