The Line: -- Over/Under:
We wrap up the round of 12 with our second trip to Kansas for the Hollywood Casino 400. This event debuted in 2001 and 10 of its 17 previous races were won by Chevrolet. We came up short last week in terms of picking a winner, as all of our drivers outside of Denny Hamlin were a non factor. We will get back on track this week.
Here are five drivers to consider throwing on this week’s card.
Joey Logano, +1100 - Joey Logano hasn’t done much as of late when we’ve thrown him on the card, but he’s a two-time winner of this event and has finished eighth or better in five of his last six appearances. Logano has finished eighth or better in eight of his last 12 trips at the Kansas Speedway overall. Logano also has a pair of wins at this track in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Kevin Harvick, +495 - Kevin Harvick has been one of the more consistent racers lately, finishing seventh or better in 10 of his last 12 tries. Harvick is a two-time winner at this event and won the 2018 KC Masterpiece 400 as well. Harvick has also finished third or better in seven of his last 12 trips at the Kansas Speedway. Harvick should be considered the guy to beat this week.
Brad Keselowski, +1100 - Brad Keselowski won the previous Kansas race this year and finished sixth at this race last year. Keselowski doesn’t have the history that other drivers have at this track, but he has some success here and there and has produced top-10 finishes in six of his last nine trips at the Kansas Speedway. These odds are worth a look given the meat that’s left on the bone.
Kyle Busch, +550 - I’m tired of seeing Kyle Busch at these prices given that it feels like a lifetime since he’s won a race and that ridiculous start to the season almost didn’t happen. Still, Busch has to be considered given his racing success in Kansas, which includes finishing runner-up in this event last year. Busch has finished fifth or better in four of his last five appearances at this particular event.
Martin Truex Jr., +495 - The last time Martin Truex Jr. finished outside of the top-10, he won the next race. Truex won this race back in 2017, the same year he swept the Kansas races. Truex has finished fifth or better in four of his last five appearances at the Kansas Speedway and has finished fifth or better in four of his last seven trips at this particular race.
