UFC 305 takes place on Saturday at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia and this should be an exciting card. Let’s take a look at a free play on each of the main card fights to make your Saturday a winning one.
Dricus Du Plessis vs Israel Adesanya
Du Plessis -110 / Adesanya -110 // Total Rounds: 4.5
Dricus Du Plessis and Israel Adesanya face off on Saturday in the main event at 185 pounds for the UFC middleweight championship. Du Plessis is an elite kickboxer, but there has to be some concerns about how tested he is. The good news for him is he is a very tough fighter, even if he does take some damage at times. On the other side of this fight is Adesanya, who will have a massigve speed advantage in this fight. Adesanya needs to be aggressive in this fight, but he can’t be too aggressive. If he tries to be too aggressive, it could be what costs him. I do think Adesanya is going to decide to fight the smart fight, and he’s going to be strong here. His speed advantage is going to be too much, and Adesanya is going to get the job done here. Back Adesanya on the money line.
Kai Kara-France vs Steve Erceg
Kara France +136 / Erceg -162 // Total Rounds: 2.5
Kai Kara-France and Steve Erceg face off a key flyweight battle that is going to have a huge impact on the rankings. Kara-France is a difficult matchup for Erceg, but it’s going to be one that he passes. Erceg might have lost his last fight, which was a title matchup against Alexandre Pantoja, but he was still impressive, even though it was a loss. He landed 111 significant strikes in that game. Erceg two fights ago faced off against Matt Schnell and it was a knockout win. He is going to put the pressure on early in this fight, and that is going to be the difference. Back Erceg on the money line to cash.
Mateusz Gamrot vs Dan Hooker
Gamrot -340 / Hooker +270 // Total Rounds: 2.5
Mateusz Gamrot and Dan Hooker face off in a lightweight showdown, and this is one of the fights that I am most excited about on the board. Gamrot has been knocked down during his career, and that is the reason I believe Hooker can find success here. Hooker is a good striker, and he’s going to find success here. Hooker is going to use his power and Gamrot is going to deal with the power. Hooker might not get the finish, but he’s going to get the job done. Back Hooker on the money line to cash.
Tai Tuivasa vs Jairzinho Rozenstruik
Tuivasa +180 / Rozenstruik -218 // Total Rounds: 1.5
Just a couple of years ago there was so much buzz surrounding Tuivasa, but that isn’t the case anymore as he has lost four straight fights. Tuivasa faced off against Marcin Tybura in March, and he was beaten with a rear naked choke that led to the loss. The buzz around Tuivasa is he is focused up for this fight, and I expect he’s going to resurge his career. Rozenstruik is good, but he’s inconsistent, and I just can’t pass up the value with the underdog here. Back Tuivasa on the money line.
Jingliang Li vs Carlos Prates
Li +285 / Prates -360 // Total Rounds: 1.5
There are much better fights on the board to bet, and honestly this is a stay way spot for me. Li is coming off a long layoff though, and his last fight came all the way back in September 2022. Prates also had a big speed advantage here, and I just don’t see him losing this fight. Li is going to get finished here. Back Prates on the money line to cash here.
