UFC Vegas 90 takes place on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. This is a strong card that has a ton of exciting fights that should make for good chances to make money. Let’s take a look at a picks breakdown for each of the main card fights.
Brendan Allen vs Chris Curtis
Allen -219 / Curtis +180 // Total Rounds: 2.5
Brendan Allen and Chris Curtis face off in a middleweight bout for the main event of UFC Vegas 90. These two fighters faced off back in December 2021, and it was Curtis that won in the second round by knockout. Since that win, though, Curtis has been very inconsistent, and trusting him here is hard. Allen has won six fights in a row, and each of his last four fights have been by submission. Curtis is going to be put in a bad position here, and Allen will get the job done. Back Allen by Submission.
Alexander Hernandez vs Damon Jackson
Hernandez -205 / Jackson +170 // Total Rounds: 2.5
Alexander Hernandez and Damon Jackson face off in the co-main event in a featherweight bout, and this could be one of the most exciting fights on the card. Hernandez has been inconsistent, but he has a ton of power, and even as a favorite, I like him to find success here. Hernandez’s power is going to be too much against Jackson, and Jackson isn’t going to have an answer here. This one could over quick as Hernandez is going to try to get the finish early. Back Hernandez to win by knockout.
Morgan Charriere vs Chepe Mariscal
Charriere -125 / Mariscal +105 // Total Rounds: 2.5
Chepe Mariscal is the slight underdog here, but when this fight goes off, it wouldn’t be shocking to me if he was the favorite. Mariscal is a well-rounded fighter, and he has a ton of different tools in his tool belt. Mariscal is a pressure fighter, and he’s going to really put the pressure on in this fight. Charriere is going to have no answer for the pressure, and Mariscal is going to get the job done. Back Mariscal on the money line.
Ignacio Bahamondes vs Christos Giagos
Bahamondes -340 / Giagos +270 // Total Rounds: 1.5
If you are betting this one, bet it light, because it’s not the strongest fight on the card. Giagos has lost three of his last four fights, and the last two losses have been by submission. Giagos continues to get himself in bad positions, and it’s going to be the case again here. Bahamondes is a volume striker, and he’s going to put on a show here. Bahamondes is going to find a way to get a finish here.
Valter Walker vs Lukasz Brzeski
Walker -238 / Brzeski +195 // Total Rounds: 1.5
Valter Walker currently sits with an 11-0 record, but he’s going to be making his UFC debut here. Brzeski has really struggled heading into this game, and he’s lost three fights in a row. In Brzeski’s last fight, only took three minutes, he was knocked out. Walker is going to put on a show early here, and his punches are going to be too much here. Brzeski is going to have no answer here, and this one is going to be over early. Back Walker by finish here.
Shane’s Pick Brendan Allen by Submission
