Sergei Pavlovich Betting Preview
Sergei Pavlovich sits with an 18-1 record overall, and he does have a six inch reach advantage. Pavlovich is a pressure fighter, and he is averaging 8.72 significant strikes per minute and he has a 49 percent strike accuracy. Pavlovich is fighting on short notice, and although he was originally the backup fighter for the fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic, Although he’s not fighting either of them, he now gets a chance for the title. He has been having a couple of impressive years and in his last three fights he has knocked off Derrick Lewis, Tai Tuviasa, and Curtis Blaydes.
Tom Aspinall Betting Preview
Tom Aspinall sits with a 13-3 record overall, but he is giving up six inches in reach in this fight. He is averaging 7.65 significant strikes per minute and he is successful on 66 percent of significant strikes. Aspinall also is taking this fight on short notice and he’s been nearly perfect in the UFC. The only fight that he lost came against Curtis Blaydes and in that fight he blew out his knee early in his fight. This year against Marcin Tybura he made quite the comeback from the injury and he finished the fight in knockout fashion in the first round. Aspinall has gone past five minutes only three times in his career.
Shane’s Free Pick
Aspinall really should be closer to -180 or -190 and I expect they will be bigger favorites by the time this fight happens. Aspinall is the better all around fighter, and he’s going to dominate this fight. Aspinall has a ton of speed, and he’s going to use that advantage. He’s going to avoid the power of Pavlovich and that is going to be the difference as Aspinall is going to get the job done. Back Aspinall on the money line.
