Jack Della Maddalena and Ramazan Emeev face off on the main card in a welterweight bout at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.
Jack Della Maddalena comes into this fight with an 11-2 record overall and since coming into the UFC he has won two fights in a row. Maddalena’s last fight came against Pete Rodriguez in January of 2022 and it was a little over halfway through the first round that he finished the fight by knockout. Maddalena is averaging 8.4 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 4.95 significant strikes per minute. He wants to keep the fight on the feet and he hasn’t had a takedown yet in the UFC. He also stops 75 percent of his opponent's takedown attempts. Look for Maddalena to put the pressure on early in this fight, and to try and get the finish.
On the other side of this fight is Ramazan Emeev who sits with a 20-5 record overall and coming into this fight he has won two of his last three fights. Emeev’s last fight came against Danny Roberts and he actually outstruck Roberts 40-34 in the fight but still ended up losing by split decision. Emeev is averaging 2.52 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 2.02 significant strikes per minute. He wants to get the fight to the ground and is averaging 2.29 takedowns every 15 minutes. He is only successful on 29 percent of his takedown attempts, but he stops 66 percent of his opponents takedown attempts.
Maddalena is an elite striker while Emeev wants to get the fight to the ground. If Emeev wants any chance in this fight, he needs to get the fight to the ground, but I don’t think he finds a whole lot of success doing that. Look for Maddalena’s striking to be too much for Emeev and Maddalena will secure the victory. If you want some extra value, take Maddalena to win by knockout but I would only sprinkle 1/4th of what you will bet on Maddalena on the money line.
