Kevin Holland and Kyle Daukaus face off in a middleweight bout for the co-main event at UFC Fight Night 193 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Kevin “Trailblazer” Holland comes into this fight with a 21-7 record overall but he has lost two fights in a row. Holland’s last fight came against Marvin Vettori in April of 2021, and he was dominated in that fight. Holland was taken down 11 times in that fight, and it led to the loss. Holland’s last win came against Jacare Souza in December of 2020, and it was early in the first round that he won by knockout. Holland is averaging 3.74 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 2.33 significant strikes per minute. He is averaging 0.92 takedowns every 15 minutes and he is successful on 45 percent of his attempts. He also stops 47 percent of his takedown attempts. Holland is also averaging 0.6 submission attempts every 15 minutes.
Kyle Daukaus comes into this fight with a 10-2 record overall but since coming into the UFC he sits with a 2-2 record. In Daukaus last fight against Phil Hawes in May of 2021, he was outstruck 66-28 and also taken down twice, which led to the defeat. Daukaus is averaging 3.23 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 2.72 significant strikes per minute. He has 1.75 takedowns every 15 minutes and is successful on 29 percent of his attempts. He also stops 85 percent of his opponent's takedown attempts. In this fight if Daukaus wants to win, he needs to avoid the power that Holland presents.
Kyle Daukaus hasn’t done anything since coming into the UFC that has impressed me, and his job isn’t going to get any easier against Kevin Holland. Holland has all kinds of power in his hands and he is going to get the job done. Back Holland on the money line, and throw a few dollars on Holland to win by knockout.
