Ariane Lipski and Mandy Bohm face off in a women’s flyweight battle in a main card showdown at UFC Fight Night 192 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Ariane “Queen of Violence” Lipski comes into this fight with a 13-7 record overall but she has lost two fights in a row. Her last fight came against Montana De La Rosa in June of 2021 and she didn’t look good. Lipski was outstruck 29-11 and late in the second round, she lost by knockout. Lipski is averaging 2.76 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 4.25 significant strikes per minute. She is averaging 0.23 takedowns every 15 minutes but she is only successful on 25 percent of her attempts. Lipski also stops 42 percent of her opponent's takedowns. Lipski’s last win came against Luana Carolina in July of 2020 and it was early in the first round that she won by a kneebar.
On the other side of this fight is Mandy Bohm who will be making her UFC debut in this fight. Bohm comes into this fight with a 7-0 record but her last fight came almost a year ago. She faced off against Greit Eeckhout in Bellator 247 and she won that by unanimous decision. Two of Bohm’s last three wins have been by finish. Bohm is a well-rounded fighter and heading into this one she has talked about how she believes she is the better fighter. Bohm has made it clear that her strength is with her standup and the power in her hands.
I think Bohm is right, she is the more well-rounded fighter, and she is going to find success in this one. Bohm does have more power and is the better standup fighter. I know there has been a long layoff, but Bohm is going to pull the upset.
