Tim Means and Nicolas Dalby face off on Saturday in a welterweight showdown in a main card matchup at UFC Vegas 30 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Tim “The Dirty Bird” Means comes into this game with a 31-12-1 record overall and coming into this game he has won two games in a row. Means last fight came against Mike Perry in November of 2020 and he was able to win the fight by unanimous decision. Means outstruck Perry 128-64 and that led to the unanimous decision victory. Means is averaging 5.16 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 3.58 significant strikes per minute. Means is averaging 0.92 takedowns every 15 minutes and he is successful on 41 percent of his takedown attempts. Means is also stopping 64 percent of his opponents takedown attempts. Each of the last two losses by Means has come by finish, and he can’t get caught in a bad position in this one.
Nicolas Dalby comes into this fight with a 19-3-1 but two fights ago he had a no-contest in January of 2020. Dalby’s last fight came against Daniel Rodriguez in November of 2020 and he was able to come away with the unanimous decision. Dalby is averaging 3.20 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 3.57 significant strikes per minute. Dalby is averaging 1.45 takedowns every 15 minutes and he is successful on 33 percent of his takedown attempts. Dalby’s three wins in the UFC have been by decision, so there is some concern about what type of finishing power he has.
Tim Means has the finishing power, and he is going to have no issue getting the job done in this fight. Look for Means to throw some big haymakers early and he will win this fight with ease. Back Means on the money line.
