UFC on ESPN 23:Dominick Reyes vs. Jiri Prochazka Picks and Predictions

Dominick Reyes and Jiri Prochazka face off on Saturday in the main event of UFC on ESPN 23 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. 

Dominick “The Devastator” Reyes comes into this fight with a 12-2 record overall but each of those two losses have come in their last two losses. Reyes last fight came against Jan Blachowicz in September of 2020 and it was late in the second round that Reyes was finished in the second round by knockout. Reyes In this fight Reyes is going to need to get out to a fast start and not get worn down with punches early. 

On the other side of this fight is Jiri “Denisa” Prochazka who comes into this fight with a 27-3-1 record overall and since coming into the UFC he has a 1-0 record. Prochazka’s only fight in the UFC came against Volkan Oezdemir in July of 2020 and in the second round he was able to win the fight by knockout. Prochazka is averaging 5.67 significant strikes per minute while their defense is giving up 7.05 significant strikes per minute. Prochazka is stopping 100 percent of his opponents' takedown attempts. The one concern heading into this fight has to be with how much damage he took in his first fight.
