Roxanne Modafferi and Andrea Lee face off in a women’s flyweight showdown in UFC Vegas 10 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Modafferi is currently the eighth ranked fighter in the division while Lee is ranked ninth.
Roxanne “The Happy Warrior” Modafferi comes into this fight with a 24-18 record overall but since coming into the UFC there have been some issues. Modafferi lost her first four fights in the UFC but since that point she has gone 3-3. Modafferi’s last fight came against Lauren Murphy in June of 2020. In that fight she was outstruck 72-44, taken down two times, and that led to a unanimous decision loss. Modafferi is averaging 3.04 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 4.80 significant strikes per minute. Andrea “KGB” Lee comes into this fight with an 11-4 record overall but after winning her first three fights in the UFC but she has lost two fights in a row. Lee’s last fight came against Lauren Murphy in February of 2020 and even though she outstruck Murphy she was taken down twice and that led to a split decision loss. Each of Lee’s three wins in the UFC were by unanimous decision and her two losses were by split decision. Lee is averaging 5.40 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 3.80 significant strikes per minute. Lee is also averaging 1.40 successful takedowns every 15 minutes while being successful on 38 percent of them. Lee also stops 61 percent of his opponents' takedown attempts.
Lee has lost her last two fights but they were by split decision and she is no doubt the better fighter in this one. Lee might not get the finish but she is going to dominate this one. Back Lee to come away with a victory by decision.
