Movsar Evloev comes into this fight with a 12-2 record overall and since coming into the UFC he has won each of his last two fights. Evloev’s last fight came against Enrique Barzola in October of 2019. In that fight Evloev was actually outstruck, but he did have four takedowns in that fight and that was enough to come away with a unanimous decision. His first fight in the UFC he also dominated with takedowns and that led to a unanimous decision.

Mike Grundy comes into this fight with a 12-1 record and he did have success winning his first fight in the UFC. Grundy’s first fight in the UFC came against Nad Narimani in March of 2019. In that fight Grundy dominated the fight from the beginning and late in the second round he finally finished the fight with a knockout.
Since coming into the UFC Grundy is averaging 3.40 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 2.27 significant strikes per minute. Grundy is also averaging 1.55 successful takedowns every 15 minutes and he has 100 percent takedown defense. In this fight if Grundy wants to come away with a win he needs to have his takedown defense being good. If the takedown defense is suspect in this game, Grundy is going to have some big issues coming away with a win.
Mike Grundy’s takedown defense was strong in the first game and that will be the difference. Grundy is going to not get taken down and that will lead to him coming away with a win at plus money.
