Minnesota Twins Betting Preview

The Minnesota Twins are 7-7 this year after they lost game one in this series by a score of 10-4 on Friday night. Minnesota led 4-0 in the fourth inning, but they allowed the last 10 runs for the lopsided loss. The Twins recorded seven hits and they committed one error in the game, while they were led by Jeffers, who went 3-3 with one home run and three RBIs. Woods Richardson allowed six hits and five earned runs over 4.0 innings for the loss, while Banda allowed three earned runs in relief. Prior to this series, Minnesota won all four against the Tigers, but lost two out of three against the Rays before that.

This season, Minnesota has a 4.35 ERA with a 1.43 WHIP and a .256 opponent batting average, while they have scored 64 runs with a .226 batting average and a .329 on base percentage. Josh Bell has led the Twins with three home runs and 10 RBIs, while Tristan Gray has added one home run and eight RBIs. The projected starting pitcher for Minnesota is Joe Ryan, who is 1-1 with a 4.40 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP over 14.1 innings pitched this year.

Toronto Blue Jays Betting Preview

The Toronto Blue Jays are 6-7 this season after they won game one by a score of 10-4 on Friday. Toronto erupted for five runs in the fourth inning to take the lead and they never looked back in the blowout win. The Blue Jays recorded 14 hits in the game and they were led by Schneider and Valenzuela, who both had two RBIs. Corbin allowed six hits and four earned runs over 4.0 innings, while Mantiply picked up the win and Varland got a hold. Prior to this series, Toronto lost two out of three against the Dodgers and all three against the White Sox.

Twins vs Blue Jays Prediction

Toronto was able to avoid a bad loss on Friday with a nice comeback win and they will look to make it three in a row here. The Blue Jays are 6-4 at home this year, while the Twins are 2-5 on the road. Minnesota has won four of their last five games, but they have allowed 6+ runs in two of their last three. The Twins are starting Ryan, who has pitched well in two of his three starts, while Lauer has allowed four earned runs and six hits over 7.1 innings. I don’t love Lauer, but I will back the Jays at home, as I trust their offense more than Twins.
