The Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees will meet on Saturday afternoon in the second game of a three‑game American League East series at Yankee Stadium in New York, New York.

Toronto Blue Jays Betting Preview

The Toronto Blue Jays enter Saturday’s contest with a 63–67 overall record (4th in the American League East) and a 30–34 mark on the road. The Blue Jays offense has been inconsistent this season. Through 130 games played in 2026, Toronto has compiled 513 runs scored (27th in MLB), 201 doubles, a .244 team batting average, and 132 home runs which ranks a rather low 28th in Major League Baseball.

The Blue Jays arrive at tomorrow afternoon’s game in good form. Toronto has won four of the team’s last seven games played this season, including a convincing 10–5 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays earlier this week.

Toronto will turn to right hander Dylan Cease in this game. In recent outings, Cease has compiled elite strikeout totals (201 strikeouts) and continues to provide dominant innings for Toronto. Cease arrives at this contest in good form, allowing two earned runs or fewer in four of his last five starts made this season. Cease will look to continue his recent strong performances on the mound in tomorrow’s matchup with the New York Yankees.

The Toronto Blue Jays lineup features Alejandro Kirk and Kazuma Okamoto. Alejandro Kirk has amassed a .282 batting average, 7 home runs, 27 RBIs, and a .788 OPS. Kazuma Okamoto has tallied a team leading 26 home runs (16th in MLB) and 74 RBIs which ranks 20th in Major League Baseball.

New York Yankees Betting Preview

The New York Yankees enter Saturday afternoon’s matchup with a 73–55 overall record (2nd in the American League East) and a 32–27 mark at home. New York arrives at this contest on the heels of a five-game winnings streak, including a 3–1 victory over the New York Yankees three days ago.

The Yankees will start left hander Ryan Weathers in tomorrow’s game. In 24 starts made in 2026, Weathers has compiled a 5-7 win-loss record, a 3.56 ERA a 1.19 WHIP and 140 strikeouts which ranks 23rd in Major League Baseball. Weathers has pitched exceptionally well recently, allowing one earned run or fewer in each four of his last five starts made this season.

The New York Yankees lineup features Ben Rice and Trent Grisham. Ben Rice enters this contest with a .251 batting average, a team leading 34 home runs (5th in MLB), 80 RBIs and an .876 OPS. Trent Grisham has compiled 17 home runs, 54 RBIs and a .738 OPS.

Why the Toronto Blue Jays will win.

• Offensive potential. Alejandro Kirk and Kazuma Okamoto continue to anchor the Blue Jays lineup.

• Starting pitching. Dylan Cease has allowed two earned runs or fewer in four of his last five starts made in 2026.

• Current form. The Toronto Blue Jays have won four of the team’s last seven games.

Why the New York Yankees will win.

• Home field edge. New York has played competitive baseball (32–27) at Yankee Stadium this season.

• Offensive balance. Ben Rice and Trent Grisham have been key contributors for the New York Yankees lineup.

• Recent form. The New York Yankees arrive at this contest on the heels of a five-game winning streak.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. New York Yankees Prediction

In my view, the way to go in this matchup is the total rather than a side. Why? New York starting pitcher Ryan Weathers has pitched exceptionally well recently, allowing one earned run or fewer in each four of his last five starts made this season. Similarly, Toronto hurler Dylan Cease arrives at this contest in good form, allowing two earned runs or fewer in four of his last five starts made this season. With that said, I fully expect this contest to be a low scoring affair. I am backing under 7.5 runs in this game.

Hans Geevers's Pick: Under 7.5
