The Toronto Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Angels will meet on Wednesday afternoon in the final game of a three game American League series at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California.

Toronto Blue Jays Betting Preview

The Toronto Blue Jays enter Wednesday’s game with a 10–13 overall win-loss record, including a dreadful 4–7 mark on the road. It is noteworthy that the Blue Jays arrive at this contest on the heels of a three-game winning streak, including a dominant 10–4 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks three days ago.

Toronto will turn to left‑hander Eric Lauer. In four starts made in the 2026 regular season, Lauer has compiled a 1–3 record, a 7.13 ERA, 16 strikeouts, and a 1.47 WHIP, while allowing 16 hits, 10 walks and 4 home runs in 17.2 innings pitched. Eric Lauer will look to rebound from a poor start to the regular season in tomorrow’s matchup with the Los Angeles Angels.

Shifting our focus to the Toronto offense, the Blue Jays have amassed a quality lineup this season featuring third baseman Ernie Clement and first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr.  Ernie Clement has amassed a .297 batting average, 9 doubles, 5 walks, 5 RBIs and a .700 OPS. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. leads the team with a rather impressive .354 batting average, 2 home runs, 5 doubles, 12 walks, 12 RBIs and a .930 OPS which ranks 18th in Major League Baseball.

Los Angeles Angels Betting Preview

The Los Angeles Angels enter Wednesday’s contest with an 11–14 overall record, including a 4–7 mark at home. The Angels have lost four consecutive games, including a 4-1 loss to the San Diego Padres last week. Los Angeles will look to rebound from the team’s recent difficult stretch in Wednesday afternoon’s matchup with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Los Angeles will start right‑hander Jose Soriano on Wednesday. In five starts made this season, Soriano has compiled a rather impressive 5–0 record, a 0.28 ERA (1st in MLB), 39 strikeouts (4th in MLB) and a 0.73 WHIP, while allowing just 11 hits, 6 walks and 1 home run in 32.2 innings pitched. The Angels have won every game that Jose Soriano has started in 2026.

Offensively, the Angels lineup features a strong core, including Jo Adell and Mike Trout. Jo Adell enters this matchup with a .278 batting average, 3 home runs, 14 RBIs and a .698 OPS. Outfielder Mike Trout has amassed a .235 batting average, 7 home runs (8th in MLB), 4 doubles, 16 RBIs and a .939 OPS which ranks 13th in Major League Baseball.

Why the Toronto Blue Jays will win.

• Recent momentum. The Toronto Blue Jays arrive at this contest on the heels of a three-game winning streak.

• Quality offense. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. leads the team with a .354 batting average, 2 home runs, 5 doubles, 12 walks, 12 RBIs and a .930 OPS which ranks 18th in Major League Baseball.

Why the Los Angeles Angels will win.

• Starting pitching edge. Jose Soriano’s 0.28 ERA, 39 strikeouts, and 5–0 record give the Los Angeles Angels a dominant advantage.

• Home field environment. The Angels offense typically performs better at Angel Stadium.

• Balanced offense. Mike Trout and Jo Adell continue to provide the Angels with reliable offense.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Los Angeles Angels Prediction

In my view, this matchup clearly favors the Los Angeles Angels. Why? Jose Soriano has been one of the most dominant pitchers in baseball, entering this start with a 5–0 win-loss record, a 0.28 ERA and 39 strikeouts. Conversely, Eric Lauer carries a 7.13 ERA and has struggled with his command all season, putting Toronto at a major disadvantage on the road. With that said, I am backing the Los Angeles Angels on the moneyline in this game.
