In their last series, the Rangers took on the Milwaukee Brewers. Texas did pretty poorly in that one, falling in a sweep with losses 6-3, 3-1 and 6-5. After an 11-2 blowout loss to the Orioles on Thursday, in game two the Rangers took a tough loss 2-1. Starter Max Scherzer finished with 5.1 innings and both earned runs.
As starting pitcher for Saturday’s game, the Rangers will send out Michael Lorenzen. This year Lorenzen is 4-3 with a 3.04 ERA in 13 starts. Over his career in 355 games (82 starts), Lorenzen is 44-41 with a 4.01 ERA.
Baltimore Orioles Betting Preview

Cade Povich will serve as the starter for the Orioles on Saturday. Over the first four starts of his career, Povich is 0-2 with a 4.15 ERA and 14 strikeouts over 21.2 total innings.

I’ll stay with the Orioles. Povich had a spotty outing in his last start versus Cleveland, giving up three earned on seven hits and a walk in 5.2 innings for a loss. Povich had just one earned in his previous 10.2 innings over two starts, though. As for Lorenzen, he’s got five earned in 11.0 innings over his last pair.
On Friday the O’s were pretty quiet on offense for most of the night. Colton Cowser (solo homer) and Gunnar Henderson provided the only two RBI. If Baltimore can get another pitching performance like Friday’s however, the bats can remain quiet in game two.
