The Tampa Bay Rays and the Colorado Rockies will meet on Monday night in the opening game of a three‑game interleague series at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado.

Tampa Bay Rays Betting Preview

The Tampa Bay Rays enter Monday’s contest with a 65–46 overall record (1st in the American League East) and a 24–28 mark on the road. The Rays offense has been competitive to this point in the season. Tampa Bay has compiled 484 runs scored, 160 doubles, 111 home runs and a .258 team batting average which ranks second in Major League Baseball.

The Rays arrive at tomorrow night’s game in good form. Tampa Bay has won three of the team’s last five games played this season, including a 3–2 victory over the Texas Rangers earlier this week.

Tampa Bay will turn to left hander Ian Seymour in this contest. In seven starts made this season, Seymour has compiled a 7–3 win‑loss record, a 4.37 ERA, a 1.12 WHIP and 90 strikeouts, while allowing 60 hits and 28 walks in 78.1 innings pitched. Seymour will look to continue his recent steady performances on the mound in tomorrow’s matchup with the Colorado Rockies.

The Tampa Bay Rays have compiled a formidable lineup this season featuring first baseman Yandy Diaz and third baseman Junior Caminero. Yandy Diaz enters this contest with a .301 batting average (6th in MLB), 14 home runs, 61 RBIs and an .833 OPS. Junior Caminero has tallied a .285 batting average and a .922 OPS which ranks 13th in Major League Baseball.

Colorado Rockies Betting Preview

The Colorado Rockies enter Monday night’s matchup with a 45–67 overall record (5th in the National League West) and an 18–38 mark at home. Colorado has played average baseball recently, winning three consecutive games, including a 3–1 victory over the Kansas City Royals three days ago.

Colorado will start right hander Michael Lorenzen in tomorrow’s game. In 22 starts made this season, Lorenzen has compiled a 3–9 record, a 6.54 ERA, a 1.81 WHIP and 80 strikeouts, while allowing 149 hits and 40 walks in 104.2 innings pitched.

The Colorado Rockies lineup features first baseman TJ Rumfield and catcher Hunter Goodman. TJ Rumfield enters this contest with a .296 batting average, 13 home runs, 44 walks, 58 RBIs and an .843 OPS. Hunter Goodman has tallied a team leading 33 home runs (2nd in MLB), 65 RBIs and an .887 OPS.

Why the Colorado Rockies will win.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. New York Yankees Prediction

In my view, the way to go in this contest is the total rather than a side. Why? Colorado starting pitcher Michael Lorenezen has amassed a rather high 6.54 ERA across 22 starts made this season. Similarly, Tampa Bay hurler Ian Seymour has also been inconsistent in 2026, compiling a rather pedestrian 4.37 ERA in 78.1 innings pitched. Additionally, this game will be played in the altitude of Colorado where offense can flourish. With that said, I am backing over 9.5 runs in this game.

Hans Geevers's Pick: Over 9.5
