The Mariners played the Texas Rangers over the weekend and did very well. Seattle won all three of those matchups 3-2, 7-5 and 5-0 for a sweep. In the Tuesday opener versus the Guardians, the Mariners scored four in the third and won 8-5. Bryce Miller went 5.2 innings in the start with two earned on six hits and two walks.

As starter for Wednesday’s game the Mariners are sending out Bryan Woo. So far this year over his six starts Woo is 3-0 with a 1.07 ERA and 24 Ks in 33.2 innings. Woo is 7-5 with a 3.34 ERA in 24 starts.

Cleveland Guardians Betting Preview

Over on the Guardians’ side, they took on the Toronto Blue Jays in their weekend set. Cleveland won 3-1 in the opener of that series then took losses 5-0 and 7-6 in the remaining pair. On Tuesday the Guardians had 10 hits but couldn’t keep up the offensive pace. Triston McKenzie left after 2.1 innings, four earned, three hits and four walks.

Tanner Bibee will make the start for the Guardians on Wednesday. This year Bibee is 4-2 with a 3.94 ERA in 14 starts. He has 87 Ks in 75.1 innings. Bibee is 14-6 with a 3.31 ERA in 39 career starts.

Seattle Mariners vs Cleveland Guardians Prediction

I’ll try the Guardians. Bibee does need to come back from a spotty outing in Cincinnati on June 12, though. In that game Bibee went 5.1 innings with four earned runs during a loss. Prior to that however, Bibee had three earned in 11.1 innings over two starts. As for Woo, he’s gone 12.0 innings over his last pair without giving up an earned run. We’ll have a good pitcher matchup here.

On Tuesday the Guardians played pretty well at the plate. Will Brennan had three hits, one walk and an RBI, while two other batters had multiple hits. McKenzie had a rough night though, and it taxed the bullpen. If Bibee can go six innings or so however, I think Cleveland will be okay.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Cleveland Guardians -122
