I’ll stay with the Mariners. Kirby is doing well over his last three games, even though he’s just 1-1 in that time. During that trio Kirby gave up just two earned runs in 19.0 innings total. As for Bello, he’s got nine earned in 17.1 total innings over his last three starts.
On Tuesday the Mariners had a couple of big innings—including five runs in the fifth. Seattle did have a couple of spotty pitching performances to start out the game, though. It’d be nice to see a calmer outing on the mound Wednesday, starting with Kirby.
