Kansas City Royals Betting Preview

The Kansas City Royals are 5-5 this season after they won game one in this series by a score of 4-2 on Monday. Kansas City trailed 1-0 early in the game, but they scored four runs between the fourth and eighth innings for the win. The Royals recorded 11 hits in the game and they were led by India, who went 2-4 with one home run and three RBIs. Wacha allowed three hits and one earned run over 7.0 innings for the win, while Erceg got the save. Prior to this series, Kansas City lost two out of three against the Brewers, but did win two out of three against the Twins before that.

This season, Kansas City has a 4.28 ERA with a 1.37 WHIP and a .236 opponent batting average, while they have scored 42 runs with a .256 batting average and a .335 on base percentage. Jonathan India has led the Royals with two home runs and eight RBIs, while Kyle Isbel has added two home runs and five RBIs. The projected starting pitcher for Kansas City is Noah Cameron, who is 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP over 5.0 innings pitched this season.

Cleveland Guardians Betting Preview

The Cleveland Guardians are 6-5 this year after they lost game one by a score of 4-2 on Monday night. Cleveland led 1-0 in the third inning, but they didn’t score again until the eighth inning, which wasn’t enough to get the win. The Guardians recorded four hits in the game and they were led by Kwan and Rocchio, who both had one RBI. Bibee allowed five hits and one earned run over 4.2 innings in the no decision, while Pallette was charged with the loss. Prior to this series, Cleveland won two out of three against the Cubs and two out of three against the Dodgers.

This season, Cleveland has a 3.53 ERA with a 1.19 WHIP and a .213 opponent batting average, while they have scored 34 runs with a .193 batting average and a .288 on base percentage. Chase DeLauter has led the Guardians with five home runs and nine RBIs, while Jose Ramirez has added one home runs and five RBIs. The projected starting pitcher for Cleveland is Gavin Williams, who is 1-1 with a 2.25 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP over 12.0 innings pitched this year.

Royals vs Guardians Prediction

Kansas City was able to get the win to start this series on Monday night, but they have allowed at least five runs in three of their last five games. The Royals are starting Cameron, who was very sharp against the Twins in his first outing. Cleveland has dropped two of their last three games, but they have scored four runs or more in three of their last five. The Guardians are going with Williams, who has also been strong this year against the Mariners and Dodgers. This should be a lower scoring game, but I like Cleveland with Williams on the mound here.
