In this article we will formulate a Rockies vs Mets prediction for this MLB game on Saturday, April 25th at Citi Field in Queens, New York. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this MLB matchup.

Colorado Rockies Betting Preview

The Colorado Rockies are 11-16 this year after they won game one by a score of 4-3 on Friday night. Colorado trailed 1-0 in the middle innings, but they scored the next four runs and hung on for the win. The Rockies recorded 10 hits and they committed one error, while they were led by Johnston, who went 1-5 with two RBIs in the game. Lorenzen allowed seven hits and one earned run over 7.0 innings for the win, while Senzatela picked up the save. Prior to this series, Colorado lost two out of three against the Padres and split four games with the Dodgers.

This season, Colorado has a 4.34 ERA with a 1.40 WHIP and a .268 opponent batting average, while they have scored 112 runs with a .252 batting average and a .317 on base percentage. Mickey Moniak has led the Rockies with eight home runs and 15 RBIs, while TJ Rumfield has added three home runs and 16 RBIs. The projected starting pitcher for Colorado is Jose Quintana, who is 0-2 with a 6.23 ERA and a 1.85 WHIP over 13.0 innings pitched this year.

New York Mets Betting Preview

The New York Mets are 9-17 this season after they lost game one by a score of 4-3 last night. New York cut the deficit to 4-3 in the eighth inning, but couldn’t find the tying run in the loss. The Mets recorded 11 hits in the game and they were led by Baty, who went 2-4 with two RBIs. Peralta allowed seven hits and two earned runs over 5.2 innings for the loss, while Manaea allowed two earned runs in relief. Prior to this series, New York won two out of three against the Twins, but lost all three against the Cubs before that.

This season, New York has a 4.13 ERA with a 1.31 WHIP and a .240 opponent batting average, while they have scored 91 runs with a .230 batting average and a .292 on base percentage. Bo Bichette has led the Mets with one home run and 12 RBIs, while Brett Baty has added one home run and 12 RBIs. The projected starting pitcher for New York is Kodai Senga, who is 0-3 with an 8.83 ERA and a 1.90 WHIP over 17.1 innings pitched this season.

Rockies vs Mets Prediction

Colorado was able to escape with the win in game one on Friday night and they have allowed three runs or fewer in three of their last four games. The Rockies are 4-10 on the road this year, while the Mets are 5-8 at home. New York couldn’t continue the momentum they found against the Twins and they continue to struggle at the plate. Both of these starting pitchers have very ugly numbers to start the season, but with Senga and the New York bats struggling, I like Colorado and the plus money here.
