In this article, we will formulate a Rockies vs Braves prediction for this MLB game on Sunday, June 15th at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this MLB matchup.

Colorado Rockies Betting Preview

The Colorado Rockies are 13-57 this year after they lost the first two games in this series by scores of 4-12 and 1-4. In their game two loss, Colorado struggled to get things going at the plate, but they scored in the ninth inning to avoid the shutout. The Rockies recorded just four hits, and they committed three errors in the game, while they were led by Doyle, who went 1-4 with one RBI in the loss. Colorado started Dollander, who allowed six hits and three earned runs over 6.0 innings for the loss, while Molina pitched the final two innings.

Prior to this series, the Rockies lost two out of three against the Giants and all three against the Mets. Colorado has lost seven of their last eight games, and they are currently last in the NL West standings. The Colorado pitching staff has a 5.69 ERA with a 1.59 WHIP and a .295 opponent batting average, while the offense has scored 229 runs with a .224 batting average and a .288 on-base percentage this season. Hunter Goodman has led Colorado with 11 home runs and 40 RBIs, while Ryan McMahon has added nine home runs and 22 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Colorado is Austin Gomber, who is making his season debut.

Atlanta Braves Betting Preview

The Atlanta Braves are 31-38 this season after they won game two by a score of 4-1 on Saturday. Atlanta led 4-0 in the fifth inning, and they cruised to the easy win. The Braves recorded seven hits and they committed one error in the game, while they were led by Acuna, who went 2-3 with one home run and two RBIs in the win. Atlanta started Strider, who allowed three hits and zero earned runs over 6.0 innings for the win, while Montero and Lee finished the game in relief.

Prior to this series, the Braves won two out of three against the Brewers, but lost all three against the Giants before that. Atlanta has won four of their last five games, and they are currently third in the NL East standings. The Atlanta pitching staff has a 3.68 ERA with a 1.22 WHIP and a .231 opponent batting average, while their offense has scored 289 runs with a .246 batting average and a .319 on-base percentage this year. Matt Olson has led Atlanta with 14 home runs and 43 RBIs, while Austin Riley has added 11 home runs and 36 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Atlanta is Chris Sale, who is 4-4 with a 2.79 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP over 80.2 innings pitched this season.

Rockies vs Braves Prediction

Atlanta comes into this series looking for the sweep, and they have outscored Colorado by a total of 16-5 in the first two games. The Braves are 19-14 at home this year, while the Rockies are 6-30 on the road. Colorado is starting Gomber, who is coming off the IL, but I have very little faith in this Colorado pitching staff. Atlanta is starting Sale, who has allowed one earned run or fewer in five straight starts. Sale should have no issue having another great outing, while the Atlanta bats will continue to do damage. Take the Braves -2.5 here.

David Racey's Pick: Braves -2.5
