Tyler Mahle Over 4.5 Strikeouts

Texas Rangers vs Minnesota Twins 7:40 PM EST

Tyler Mahle has enjoyed a strong start to his tenure with the Rangers, posting a 5–3 record with a sleek 2.02 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP over 71.1 innings across 13 starts, ranking 7th in MLB ERA and tied for 20th in WHIP. He’s coming off one of his worst starts of the season, where he gave up 4 earned runs against the Tampa Bay Rays. After a tough start like that, I expect Mahle to bounce back in this one. The Twins’ bats have been inconsistent this season. Mahle has also logged 5+ Ks in his last two starts. I expect him to do that again in this one.

Bryan Woo Over 1.5 Earned Runs

Seattle Mariners vs Arizona D-Backs 9:40 PM EST

Bryan Woo has been a strong presence in Seattle’s rotation, starting 12 games and posting a 5–3 record with a 3.07 ERA over 76.1 innings, while recording 69 strikeouts and maintaining an impressive 0.96 WHIP. Bryan Woo is typically a guy I want to back, but his last two starts have been concerning, with him allowing 4 earned runs against the Orioles and 3 earned runs against the Twins. Now, Woo has to face a difficult Diamondbacks lineup on the road. Chase Field is a hitter-friendly ballpark. I don’t like this spot for Woo.

Lance McCullers 5.5 Strikeouts

Chicago White Sox vs Houston Astros 7:10 PM EST

McCullers returned to the majors in early May after missing over two and a half years due to arm surgeries. In his first six starts (24.1 innings), he went 1–1 with a 4.44 ERA, struck out 33 batters, and recorded a 1.40 WHIP. He began with a rocky second outing, allowing 7 runs in one inning, but rebounded impressively, notching his 50th career win on June 3rd by delivering six scoreless innings with seven strikeouts against the Pirates. McCullers has looked great as of late and recorded 7+ K’s in his last 3 starts. I don’t see him slowing down against a lineup like the White Sox.
