Simeon Woods Richardson Under 4.5 K’s
Minnesota Twins vs Los Angeles Dodgers 10:10 PM EST
Simeon Woods Richardson has stepped into a prominent role in the Twins’ rotation this year, making 15 appearances (14 starts) and posting a 5–4 record with a 3.95 ERA across 73.0 innings, along with a 1.33 WHIP and 62 strikeouts. His strikeout rate (19.9%) and walk rate (9.0%) both hover around league average. Where we’ve seen Woods Richardson struggle this season has been on the road, and that’s what worries me about him in this one. He’ll not only be on the road, but he’ll be going against a Dodgers lineup that has been struggling but is still as powerful as ever. I can see this being a good bounce-back game for these Dodgers bats.

Richard Fitts Over 2.5 Earned Runs
Boston Red Sox vs Philadelphia Phillies 6:45 PM EST
Richard Fitts broke into the Major Leagues this year as a starter, making 8 starts, logging 33.2 innings with a 1–3 record, 4.28 ERA, 28 strikeouts, and a 1.22 WHIP. His strikeout rate sits around 19.6% with a 7.0% walk rate, both close to league average. This is going to be one of Fitts’s most challenging starts so far this season. He’ll be up against this Phillies lineup, which has been very potent, especially when playing in Philadelphia. It also looks like there’s going to be good hitting conditions in Philadelphia on Tuesday as well. I can see Fitts getting blown up early in this one.
Brandon Young Over 2.5 Earned Runs
Baltimore Orioles vs Cleveland Guardians 6:40 PM EST
Brandon Young made his Major League debut on April 19 and, over six starts covering 26.1 innings, posted a 0–4 record with a 7.52 ERA and 1.78 WHIP, striking out 25 and walking 11. His strikeout rate sits around 20.7%, with a walk rate of 9.1%, both indicative of inconsistencies. Offensively, opponents have averaged a 91.1 mph exit velocity, and his pitches have yielded a high 49.4% hard-hit rate and 11.8% barrel rate, well above MLB norms, suggesting significant contact quality issues. Young’s debut season reflects the typical growing pains of a young arm. The Guardians’ bats have woken up over their last few series, and unfortunately for Young, they should be able to keep up the momentum in this spot.
