The Minnesota Twins and the Texas Rangers will meet on Thursday afternoon in the final game of a three‑game American League series at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

Minnesota Twins Betting Preview

The Minnesota Twins enter Thursday’s contest with a 35–40 overall record (3rd in the American League Central) and a 15–21 mark on the road. The Twins offense has been competitive to this point in the season. Through 75 games played in 2026, Minnesota has compiled 354 runs scored (7th in MLB), 120 doubles, a .241 team batting average and 90 home runs which ranks 11th in Major League Baseball.

The Twins arrive at tomorrow’s game in good form. Minnesota has won four of the team’s last five games played this season, including a 5–4 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals three days ago.

Minnesota will turn to right hander Joe Ryan in this contest. In fifteen starts made this season, Ryan has compiled a 4–3 win‑loss record, a 3.17 ERA, a 1.00 WHIP (7th in MLB), and 92 strikeouts which ranks 11th in Major League Baseball, while allowing 66 hits and 16 walks in 82.1 innings pitched.

Offensively, the Twins lineup features outfielder Byron Buxton and designated hitter Josh Bell. Byron Buxton arrives at this contest with a .275 batting average, 23 home runs (3rd in MLB), 36 RBIs, 21 walks, 7 stolen bases and a .936 OPS. Josh Bell has tallied a .240 batting average, 8 home runs, 45 RBIs (20th in MLB) and a .680 OPS.

Texas Rangers Betting Preview

The Texas Rangers enter Thursday afternoon’s matchup with a 35–38 overall record (3rd in the American League West) and a 17–16 mark at home. Texas arrives at this contest in below average form. The Rangers have lost four of the team’s last five games played this season, including a 6–3 loss to the Boston Red Sox last week.

Texas will start right hander Jack Leiter in Thursday’s game. In fourteen starts made this season, Leiter has compiled a 3-6 record, a 4.97 ERA, a 1.41 WHIP and 79 strikeouts, while allowing 74 hits and 33 walks in 76 innings pitched. Leiter will look to rebound from his recent poor performances on the mound in tomorrow’s matchup with the Minnesota Twins.

Turning our attention to the Texas offense, the Rangers lineup features third baseman Josh Jung and outfielder Brandon Nimmo. Josh Jung enters this matchup with a robust .299 batting average (10th in MLB), 8 home runs, 16 doubles, 30 RBIs and an .810 OPS. Brandon Nimmo has amassed a .257 batting average, 7 home runs, 16 doubles, 24 walks, 25 RBIs and a .737 OPS.

Why the Minnesota Twins will win.

• Starting pitching. In fifteen starts made this season, Joe Ryan has compiled a 4–3 win‑loss record, a 3.17 ERA, a 1.00 WHIP (7th in MLB), and 92 strikeouts which ranks 11th in Major League Baseball.

• Offensive upside. Byron Buxton and Josh Bell lead the Minnesota Twins lineup.

• Recent momentum. The Minnesota Twins have won four of the team’s last five games.

Why the Texas Rangers will win.

• Home field advantage. The Texas Rangers have played competitive baseball at Globe Life Field this season compiling a 17-16 record.

• Offensive production. Josh Jung and Brandon Nimmo provide a strong core to the Texas Rangers lineup.

Minnesota Twins vs. Texas Rangers Prediction

In my view, this matchup favors the Minnesota Twins. Minnesota starting pitcher Joe Ryan has amassed a 4-3 record, 92 strikeouts and a 1.00 WHIP which ranks seventh in Major League Baseball. Conversely, Texas hurler Jack Leiter has struggled in his last two outings which is a concern facing a Minnesota team that is in good form (won 4 of last 5 games). With that said, I am backing the Minnesota Twins on the moneyline in this game.
